Wrongful Death Police Investigating After Body Found in Clark County

A body has been found on a steep bank in high grass in Clark County.

The Clark County Coroner is on the scene.

The body was found at the corner Goshen Road and US 60 near Exit 101 on I-64.

Clark County Sheriff Berl Perdue tells LEX 18 that the body was found by people collecting cans along the road.

He says that the victim has been dead for a month or longer.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

State Police are not ready to say if there is a connection between the body found Friday and the missing Northern Kentucky couple Bobby Jones and Crystal Warner.

The families of Bobby Jones and Crystal Warner have been searching rural Clark County for the couple’s bodies.

Craig Pennington, who was renting a cabin off of the couple, has been charged with their murders. Surveillance video shows Pennington at a Winchester McDonald’s the night the couple was reported missing.

KSP Troopers out of Columbia are also assisting with the investigation. The Columbia post doesn’t cover Clark County but does cover Washington County, where the couple went missing.

The search party had looked in this area just last week, hoping to find any sign of Bobby and Crystal.

“Everyone’s hearts are just in their throats. We chased down so many leads, been to so many places, so many evenings and weekends,” said Greg Ramey, Bobby’s fraternity brother.

Bobby Jones’s brother, William, told LEX 18’s Conroy Delouche that he is confident the body is Bobby. He says the police contacted his mom for his dental records this afternoon.

But without confirmation, and with Crystal still potentially missing, both families and their friends will keep searching high and low to find both of them.

“And we’ve got to find Crystal too to give her family some closure, you know. Because her mom is torn all to pieces,” said William Jones.

KSP says that an autopsy will be done on the body this weekend. Forensic tests will be conducted starting early next week, and they will also test the DNA if necessary. Police say they don’t expect a positive identification until Monday or Tuesday at the earliest.

Private Detective: KY Man Arrested in Michigan Was Once on FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted List

A Montgomery County man arrested in Michigan for a violent crime once made the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted List.

It has been almost 30 years since Ronald Glyn Triplett was on that list. In the 1980s, he was serving time in Michigan for robbery and attempted murder. He escaped prison and kidnapped a man and woman in New Mexico, raping the woman.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Police caught him and put him in jail, but Triplett gave a false name to bond out and was once again on the run.

He became a Top Ten Most Wanted Fugitive in 1987 until the feds ultimately caught up to him in Arizona.

He eventually moved to Mount Sterling where his neighbors say they didn’t know about his past.

Police in Mount Sterling are charging Triplett with kidnapping and rape.

Investigators say that a woman was walking late Saturday night when she was kidnapped at gunpoint and then sexually assaulted.

The woman gave investigators a license plate number, which they traced to Ronald Triplett.

Michigan police stepped in and arrested Triplett Thursday outside of Detroit.

He has an extradition hearing on Tuesday.
