Private Detective: Father Says Strange Man Is Stalking Son

A Madison County family wants to warn parents about a suspicious man who, they say, has been stalking their son.

Chris Lear says his teenage son was at the bus stop, on Central Avenue, waiting for his younger siblings when a stranger joined him, “the guy asked him, because he’s seen him on his cell phone, asked him if he needed a ride and my son said no.”

Lear says his son is 17 years-old but, it appears the man thought he was younger, “he asked him if he was 14 or 15 years old.”

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

According to Lear the man pulled over three days in a row this week to talk to his son but says the conversations have been far from appropriate, “picture, naked pictures of girls on my son’s phone.”

Out of disbelief the teen’s aunt hid in the bushes the following day. She told LEX18’s Jessica Reyes the strange man asked her nephew if he wanted to sit in his car and then offered him a job at his house.

The teen says the third time the man stopped he told him he had gotten lost driving up and down Central Avenue, which is a short dead end road.

He described the man to be between 50-60 years old with gray hair driving an older model black Toyota.

The family says they posted about it on Facebook and it appears the man has been spotted elsewhere, “people seen that car with the same man in other neighborhoods.”

Berea Police say they’re aware of the situation and have a license plate number for the car.

So far, they haven’t had any luck contacting this man.

Private Detective: FBI Recognizes Leaders From Around the Nation

Today at FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., 56 individuals and organizations—all leaders within their communities—were recognized by Director James Comey on their extraordinary contributions to education and to the prevention of crime and violence within their communities.

Comey called today “one of the very best days in the FBI’s year.”

Each recipient received the Director’s Community Leadership Award, presented every year since 1990 by FBI field offices around the country to publicly honor those who have gone above and beyond the call to service by tirelessly working to make their own cities and towns a better and safer place for their fellow residents.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

The 2015 award recipients come from all backgrounds, all professions, and all parts of the country, and the issues they focus on vary greatly. But according to Comey, “They are united by a single thing—an effort to do good.”

Comey explained why the FBI publicly recognizes community leaders in this annual ceremony. “First,” he said, “we want to thank them, because they’re doing the same things we’re doing, which is trying to make life better for the American people.”

“And secondly,” added Comey, “we want to show the world what America looks like…and that this is what we do in communities all over the country.” He also hopes that the honorees inspire others, especially young people, to follow in their footsteps.

Among the individuals and organizations recognized during 2015 by FBI field offices were:

Anchorage: Samuel Johns, for helping homeless Alaskan native reconnect with their families, friends, and culture through Forget Me Not, the non-profit organization he founded. More

Baltimore: Operation Pulse (People United to Live in a Safe Environment), for its work to reduce violent crime in and around East Baltimore through a variety of crime prevention programs for churches, senior groups, churches, and businesses. More

Honolulu: Roy Sakuma, who for the past 50 years has taught, mentored, inspired, and brought hope to thousands of people in Hawaii and even Japan, and who has spent countless hours speaking to school children, candidly sharing his experiences regarding bullying, suicide, and insecurity. More

Houston: The Houston-based non-profit K9s4COPS organization, for providing K-9s to help police find explosives, drugs, and weapons in some of our nation’s most at-risk communities and for assisting in the apprehension of more than 400 violent fleeing suspects. More

Los Angeles: Omar Siddiqui, for bringing Muslim community leaders to the table to meet with Los Angeles FBI representatives and for encouraging young Muslim adults to participate in FBI-sponsored community outreach programs. More

Memphis: Zulfat Suara, for her work with students in Hardeman County involving the Junior Achievement Program, which teaches students skills like managing finances and making good career choices. More

San Francisco: The KlaasKids Foundation, established by the family of murder victim Polly Klaas, for its efforts in locating and assisting children exploited by perpetrators of child sex crimes in the Bay area. More

St. Louis: The Fortune 500 company Emerson, through its Ferguson Forward initiative, for donating $8.5 million and operating 30 programs—focused on areas like early childhood education, youth jobs, college scholarships, and technical and trade careers—for the young people of Ferguson and North St. Louis County, Missouri. More

A special thanks to the winners for giving of their time and talents to enhance the lives of others.

Pedophile Tracking Man Pleads Guilty to Beating, Sodomizing Toddler

The man accused of sodomizing and beating a 13-month-old toddler, pleaded guilty in a Boyle County courtroom on Thursday.

A judge recommended that Joseph Adams serve a life sentence without the possibility of parole for the death toddler Christopher Preston at a home in Junction City back in 2014.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Investigators say Adams was caring for the 13-month-old boy and the boy’s sister when the boy was injured. He initially told police that his sister was responsible for the injuries, but the child showed signs of sexual trauma.

Preston was Adams’ girlfriend’s child.
By pleading guilty, Adams avoided the death penalty.

Wrongful Death Juvenile Charged in Connection With Shooting Death of Mercer Co Teen

A homicide investigation is underway after a dead  body was discovered in rural Mercer County.

KSP was notified of the body found off of Deep Creek Road, west of Harrodsburg.

Tristan Cole, 17 years old of Harrodsburg was found fatally shot at 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night.  Cole was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Mercer County Coroner.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Cole’s father told LEX 18’s Leigh Searcy that he had been contacted by Cole’s school, saying he had not been seen since Tuesday. He is still trying to find answers to the questions his son’s death have raised.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

“For this to happen, to shoot him in the back. It just isn’t right and I hope they find him and they better hope before any of my family or any of his other family and that’s all I got to say,” Gary Devine told LEX 18.

On Thursday, a juvenile was charged with Murder and Robbery in connection to Cole’s death. Police say that the investigation alleges that the Harrodsburg teen took personal property and fatally shot Tristan Cole Tuesday evening. The juvenile will be taken to the Lincoln Village Detention Center.

The events that led to the shooting are under investigation.

Cole’s body was taken to the Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy.

Missing Person 30 Year Old Clay County Woman

Police are looking for a missing Clay County woman.

They say 30-year-old Angela Smith of Manchester was last seen at her home on Little Creek Road on March 12th.

Investigators are hoping missing person posters hung near Smith’s home will help someone recognize her.

Family members tell LEX 18 that in the days leading up to Smith being reported missing, the trailer she was living in burned down.

Cadaver dogs were brought in to search for a body. Investigators do not believe she was inside the home at the time of the fire.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“If someone has been missing for a month it is more difficult to try and track them down or try to find out where they were last at. Everyone we spoken to has not seen or spoken to her, they’ve had no contact with her in any way shape or form,” said Trooper Lloyd Cochran.

The fact that she was reported missing more than two weeks after she was last seen means police got a late jump on the case.

They are hoping someone comes forward with information.

“She could have said something to someone, a friend or something, or whatever, on social media or things of that nature that could help us,” said Cochran. “They might not think it’s important but, it could  give us clues in the investigation.”
