Private Detective: Getaway Driver in Danville Dominos Shooting Sentenced

The woman who pleaded guilty to being the getaway driver in the robbery and shooting of a Danville Dominos clerk has been sentenced to five years in jail on each count to run concurrently.

Robin Adams pleaded guilty in February to her role in the 2014 robbery of a Danville Dominos that left clerk Zoe Reed seriously wounded after she was shot in the stomach.

Rico Penix, 19; Patrick Brand, 21; and Robin Adams, 26, were charged with first-degree robbery and first-degree assault. 16-year-old Nathaniel Sinclair Davis was also arrested and also faces charges of with robbery and assault in the case.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Adams pleaded guilty to facilitation to commit robbery and assault. The charges carried a recommended sentence of five-years, which the judge carried out.

Police say that Patrick Brand’s cell phone was used to call-in a fake pizza order to get the delivery driver to leave the store. This left Reed alone in the store.

Adams told investigators that she and Brand waited outside in the car while Rico Penix and Davis went in to rob the business of cash.

Reed picked Davis out of a photo lineup as the trigger man.

Adams will most likely have to testify against the other defendants in the case.

Adams showed up for sentencing early Tuesday morning but her lawyer could not make it in time, so sentencing was rescheduled to 1:30 p.m.
