Private Detective: Police Investigating Jewelry Theft at Frankfort Walmart

Police in Frankfort say that a thief stole close to $6,000 worth of jewelry at the Walmart on Ky 127.

They say that the theft happened around 10:00 p.m.

“Whoever was in charge of that area walked away for a short time, and when they returned the guy was behind the case, and the employee confronted him and questioned why he was behind there,” said Major Robert Warfel.

Warfel said that the man never responded, he just left the store. He was caught on surveillance video on his way out.

Major Warfel believes that if the man tries to sell or trades this jewelry, that could help police in Frankfort locate this man.

“Somebody shouldn’t have that amount of jewelry, trying to sell it or trade it,” said Warfel.

Police say they won’t yet rule out an inside job, or the suspect being someone with knowledge of the store, but they do know he is on the loose with a lot of men’s jewelry.

“It’s multiple items that he took.  Multiple rings,” said Warfel.

If you know the suspect, or his whereabouts, you’re asked to call the Frankfort Police at (502) 875-8648 to leave an anonymous tip.

“I’m very happy that they have the people responsible for Maryiah and Jakobe’s death, but at the same time, it just hurts to know that she’s not here,” said Maryiah’s mother Tamara Coleman.

All three men pleaded not guilty to the charges of murder and fetal homicide.

Wrongful Death Arrest Made in Connect to Maryiah Coleman’s Death

On September 7, lives were changed forever after Maryiah Coleman was killed while walking her dog.

Today, police say they have charged the men responsible.

On that night, police say three men were robbing an acquaintance of guns and other items when he tried to escape.

Gunshots were fired, and one of them hit Maryiah Coleman, who was only one month from meeting her unborn son, Jakobe.

“There are so many lives that are impacted by Maryiah and Jakobe’s death. Not just my family, but Jakobe’s fathers family as well,” said Tamara Coleman, Maryiah’s mother.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Freeman was shot five times during the attempted robbery and was hospitalized. Boaz turned himself a few days later, and Fain was arrested in Mason County a month later.

They were still in jail when they were charged with Maryiah’s murder, and fetal homicide for Jakobe.

“I’m very happy that they have the people responsible for Maryiah and Jakobe’s death. But at the same time, it just hurts to know that she’s not here,” said Coleman.

Coleman feels like this is just one step in the road to justice for her daughter and grandson, and has a message for the people who cause pain for so many families.

“If you’re out here in these streets, and you’re doing things you have no business of doing, now is the time to leave. Don’t continue down a path of destruction,” said Coleman.

Private Detective: Nine Stolen Cows Returned After Facebook Post

A Facebook post led to the return of nearly a dozen cows that police say were stolen from a Madison County farm.

When Ashley Smith and her family found out the nine cows had been stolen, she made a post on Facebook about it that was shared over eight thousand times. She even listed out each of their yellow ear tags in a plea for help.

A Kentucky AG worker spotted the cattle a couple counties away.

That employee called police who tell us they arrested a man and woman in connection to the theft.

The nine cows were being sold at the Washington County Livestock Center. Those responsible cut the locks at the Berea farm and stole the cows.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

“You know you’re surprised when, when you went and they wasn’t there and you know, then I was so surprised again that they found them down there and that everybody got on board, and did what they could for us,” said Mike Isaacs, one of the owners of the cows.

The nine cows were picked up Tuesday morning and brought back to Berea.

The owners say now they will doctor closely and watch the very stressed cattle to make sure they are okay.

Steven Jones and Jennifer Moore were each charged with receiving stolen property. Moore bonded out of jail.

Jones is still in the Marion County Detention Center.

Private Detective: Man Breaks Into Woman’s Home As She Sleeps

Police say that a man broke into a woman’s home on Fox Harbour Drive as she slept.

They say he got in through her back patio door. The woman said that when she woke up the next morning, she realized she’d been burglarized and her wallet was gone.

“The same night, he went over to the Wal-mart here on Nicholasville Road and the Meijer on Reynolds Road and he proceeded to use and burn up her credit cards almost right away, within the hour,” said Detective Mark Thomas with the Lexington Police Department. “He was buying gift cards. He bought a Playstation 4 System.”

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

The stores caught surveillance footage of the man. There was a woman in the stores with him.

“We’re hoping that someone’s either going to recognize his face, or they’re going to recognize the two of them together,” said Detective Thomas.

He said that an overnight burglary is unusual.

“Most of the time these burglaries happen during the daytime when people are gone to work,” said Detective Thomas. “This was a guy that was obviously our prowling at night, found an opportunity, and then still broke into the house, risking being caught, while somebody was inside asleep.”

Police are not sure if the woman was targeted or if it was random.

Police say he could strike again.

Pedophile Tracking Bartow, GA Man Gets 22 Years

A Bartow County man was sentenced last week to 22 years in prison a little more than two years after he was arrested on child sexual exploitation charges.

Christopher Alan Love of Euharlee pleaded guilty last week before United States District Court Judge Harold Murphy handed down the sentence.

Love also received 10 years of supervised release, Coosa Valley News Reports.

Love’s co-defendant, Erin Molly Rafferty, pleaded guilty in December 2016 and received an 18-year sentence in prison, the paper notes.

Bartow County Sheriff’s Office investigators in December 2015 arrested and charged Love with 13 counts of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of possession of methamphetamine while Rafferty faced 13 counts of party to a crime of sexual exploitation of a child and one count of possession of meth.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

The investigation started when a sheriff’s detective was sent a tip from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s Internet Crimes Against Children Unit regarding child pornography being downloaded by Love and Rafferty at a residence in Euharlee.

Within days of receiving the tip, Bartow sheriff’s investigators were contacted by a citizen alleging the same man and woman were in possession of child pornography.

Another tip came into the sheriff’s office on Monday, Dec. 21, 2015, that stated a juvenile in the neighborhood was possibly in danger or would soon be in danger of ”being sexually exploited by the couple,” the sheriff’s office previously said said.

A search warrant was executed for the home on Milam Bridge Road by Bartow sheriff’s detectives and agents with U.S. Department of Homeland Security.

The sheriff’s office said both Love and Rafferty allegedly admitted to downloading and watching child pornography together.
