Private Detective: State Police Investigating Henry County Shooting

Kentucky State Police are investigating a shooting in Henry County.

The shooting occurred Sunday on Hollow Tree Road.  Kentucky State Police in Campbellsburg received a call from a residence there.  It was reported that Gloria Campbell, 59, of LaGrange, had been shot in the leg and a second shooting victim had fled the scene.

Preliminary investigation shows that Campbell and William Miller, 39, of Carrollton, were allegedly shot by Scott Fann, 63, of LaGrange.  The shootings occurred during a physical altercation between Fann and Miller. During the scuffle, Fann received non-life threatening injuries.  Miller was transported to the hospital by private vehicle where he was treated for gunshot wounds to his leg.

Campbell and Fann were transported by Henry County EMS to University of Louisville Hospital for their injuries.  Fann was treated and released and charged with two counts of assault 1st and lodged at the Oldham County Jail.

Wrongful Death Indiana Stabbing Suspect Arrested in Lexington

The man accused in a deadly stabbing out of Indiana has been arrested in Lexington.

Evansville Police say they were called to a Motel 6 Friday night for a reported stabbing.

When they arrived, they found one victim dead at the motel and a second person also stabbed.

36-year-old Ryan Conners was identified by one of the victims as the attacker.

Conners was arrested Saturday morning in Lexington.

Private Detective: Clark Co Constable Pleads Guilty to Drug Trafficking

The Clark County constable arrested for selling oxycodone has pleaded guilty to drug trafficking charges.

According to the Winchester Sun, Constable Glenn Witt was arrested in July of 2016 for selling pills to a cooperative witness. Following the buy, deputies stopped Witt’s vehicle and recovered the marked buy money as well as his badge and firearm.

Witt will have to resign once the guilty plea is entered. He has been a constable since 2007.

The two counts of drug trafficking carry a maximum charge of 20 years in prison, a $1 million fine and three years of supervised release.

As of Monday, Witt has not resigned his office.

Missing Person Crystal Ann Corbin of Morgan County, OH

The Morgan County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help searching for a missing person.

According to the Morgan County Sheriff, 48-year-old Crystal Ann Corbin was reported missing on Dec. 30, 2016. Corbin was last seen at her home on Dec. 27, 2016. Officials say that Corbin told her she was going away for a few days with a friend unknown to her family. She also said she would return by Dec. 29. When she didn’t return by Dec. 30, her family reported her missing.

On Saturday, the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office, the Stockport Volunteer Fire Department and the Chesterhill Volunteer Fire Department searched 7 acres of wood surrounding Corbin’s home without finding any traces of her.

Corbin stands at 5’3” and weighs about 180 pounds. She has blond hair and blue eyes. Corbin’s family says she may have taken a small suit case with about three weeks of medication with her. Officers say Corbin is known to visit gambling establishments in multiple states.

Missing Person Search Continues for Jessamine Co. Teen

Jessamine county officials are still searching for a 17-year-old after she went missing nearly a week ago.

Victoria Birch was last seen on Tuesday when she got into a red Cadillac station wagon near Imperial Point Apartments in Nicholasville.

Wrongful Death Three Dead in Rowan County Shooting

Police were on the scene of an officer involved shooting Sunday evening in Rowan County.

The situation began just after 4:00 p.m. at a home on Island Fork Road in Morehead.

KSP confirms police were dispatched to the home on a report of a disturbance between a man and woman. When the law enforcement officer knocked on the door, KSP says the man shot the officer in the hand.

The Rowan County Sheriff confirmed with LEX18 that one male and two females were found dead inside the home after it had been set on fire.

The Morehead News reports an unidentified suspect allegedly told authorities over the phone that he had shot his mother and girlfriend and was going to take his own life.

The paper has identified the law enforcement official shot as Rowan County Deputy Sheriff Baker Hollis.

Private Detective: Lexington Man Arrested For Burglary After Being Chased

The Bell County Sheriff’s Department reports a Lexington man was arrested on a burglary charge after being chased after by Pineville Independent Schools Principal, Bill Keyes.

According to a Facebook post from Keyes, who lives in the Bird Branch area of Bell County, his dog started barking when someone tried to jerk open the door. That person was later identified as 29-year-old Dustin Hensley of Lexington. Keyes reportedly caught Hensley in the act and chased after him and circled the area until the sheriff’s department arrived.

Hensley was booked into the Bell County Detention Center on a third degree burglary charge.

Private Detective: Lexington Woman Jailed For Slashing Brother With Knife

A woman was jailed Saturday night after Lexington police said she slashed her brother with a knife.

It happened around 8:00 p.m. on Florida Street in Lexington.

Police say 60-year-old Linda Davis got into an argument with her brother. When things started to get heated police say she grabbed a knife and cut him across the cheek and nose. He was taken to the hospital, but police say he should be okay after some stitches.

Davis was arrested and charged with second degree assault.

Identity Theft Couple Wanted in Fayette County, WV

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in locating a couple who allegedly forged and cashed a nearly $1,000 check at a Mount Hope bank days before Christmas.

On Dec. 15, the couple reportedly entered the Fayette County National Bank and used a stolen driver’s license and debit card to obtain a $950 counter check, which they forged and cashed, according to the sheriff’s office.

The incident started about two months earlier, when the male allegedly stole a Fayette County resident’s wallet, which contained a social security card, debit and credit cards on the West side of Charleston, the sheriff’s office said.

While the victim reported the theft to the proper law enforcement agencies, notified the credit card companies and credit reporting bureaus, the alleged suspects made numerous purchases at Lowe’s through the southern part of the state, including Charleston, South Charleston, Barboursville, Nitro and Huntington. They purchased Christmas inflatables and numerous gift cards. They also used the victim’s driver’s license and social security card to open new credit card accounts under the name “Brooke Dean” of 836 Amity Dr., Charleston.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is asking anyone with knowledge of these crime or suspects, to contact Crime Stoppers at (304) 574-4216, or submit a tip through the department’s Facebook page “Fayette County Sheriff’ Department.”

Missing Person Chase John Martinez of Waldorf, MD

The Charles County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help finding a missing man from Waldorf.

Chase John Martinez, 18, was last seen on Monday, January 2 at the Hampton Inn on Crain Highway.

Martinez is 5’9” and 200 pounds. The Sheriff’s Office said he has a stalky build, green eyes, tattoos on both arms, pierced ears and sometimes wears glasses.

He is under doctor’s care and is in need of medication. He doesn’t have access to a car.
