Private Detective: Two Arrested After Shots Fired in Lexington

Lexington police arrested two men accused of firing shots from their vehicles and nearly causing a crash over the weekend.

Police say officers pulled over a Ford Explorer along New Circle Road around 3:30 a.m. Sunday,  after the driver made a left hand turn without yielding to oncoming traffic. Officers say the SUV nearly caused a crash.

Officials say around the say time, dispatch reported shots fired near the Office Lounge on Eastland Parkway, and a black SUV leaving the area. Officers say when they asked the driver to get out of the vehicle, 9 mm shell casings fell from his lap. Police say they searched the vehicle, and found additional shell casings and a two handguns.

Police arrested Dwight A. Adams, 30, and charged him with wanton endangerment, carrying a concealed deadly weapon and reckless driving. Police also arrested a passenger in the SUV. Djuan L. Clay, 30, faces charges including wanton endangerment and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.
