Private Detective: Woman Charges With Attempted Murder of Officer in Harlan County

A woman has been charged with trying to kill three state troopers during a chase in Harlan County.

Troopers say it happened at the end of a low-speed pursuit on Black Bottom Road in the Loyall Community.

Officials were trying to find Rhonda Johnson after she escaped from ARH Psychiatric Center in Harlan.

During the pursuit, the truck and a cruiser crashed, pinning a trooper between the truck and a guardrail.

Two other troopers were hurt, but all three are expected to recover.

Johnson is charged with three counts of attempted murder of a police officer, car theft and fleeing and evading police.
