The Wayne County Sheriff’s office is asking for help identifying a suspect in a home invasion case.

The incident took play in the Ramsey’s Point area of Wayne County on August 2.

The investigators have determined the suspect entered the residence with seven victims inside. The suspect continued to an upstairs bedroom where he assaulted a female that was asleep. The suspect then fled the residence on foot and entered a dark color small car parked on Ramsey’s Point Road. The suspect was described as being a heavier set male possibly between the ages of 25-35 years of age with shoulder length hair.

Investigators say that they have exhausted all leads in the case and are asking the public for help in identifying the suspect from the sketches. The suspect is said to have red hair.

A London Police officer and a K-9 unit managed to capture a fugitive during a traffic stop.

London Police Ofc. Jeremy Gabbard conducted a traffic stop for a seat belt violation. During the stop Ofc. Gabbard discovered that the driver, Lucky J. Ross had no driver’s license and was a wanted fugitive out of Florida for a felony warrant.

Ofc. Turner conducted a K-9 search on the outside of the vehicle and K-9 Jaegar alerted him to the driver’s side door where there was an odor of narcotics. Upon the search of the vehicle, a bag of marijuana was revealed between the driver’s seat and console.

Ross was arrested for the warrant and lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center. He was also charged for possession of marijuana.

Colorado Springs Police are looking for a missing person with developmental disabilities.

22-year-old Todd Casteel walked away from a home on Ironwood Place, Saturday.

Casteel is a Pacific Islander, 5’ 5”, 126 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes. He has several mental disabilities, and does not have his medication. He has walked away before and is known to associate with homeless people.

The Carter County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help locating a missing girl. 15-year-old Savanna Meadows has not ’t been seen since September 4th.

Meadows is from the Olive Hill area of Carter County. She was last seen around 11:30 p.m. when she went to bed.

She is described as 5’2” and 115 lbs. When she was last seen, her hair was dyed platinum blonde on top with yellow tips.

The body discovered in a trunk on a San Bernardino street has been identified as an El Monte man who had been missing since the weekend.

Residents living in the 600 block of West Courtland Drive in San Bernardino complained to police about a car that had been parked in their neighborhood for about four days, saying it smelled bad. Police responded at about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday and discovered a body in the trunk, the San Bernardino Sun reports.

Investigators determined that the body belonged to Miguel Evora, 28, the owner of the black 2000 Ford Focus in question. Evora, who lived in El Monte, was reported missing on September 19 by his mother, according to Lt. Rich Lawhead.

Investigators did not reveal the cause of death, but said there were signs of foul play and they are investigating Evora’s death as a homicide, according to The Press Enterprise. They believe that Evora was killed elsewhere, then transported to Courtland Drive—which has been described as a relatively quiet neighborhood—but they’re not sure where the crime happened yet.

Police were able to identify Evora using his tattoos, as his fingerprints were not in any databases. Neither Evora’s car, nor his license plate, were in the missing-person report, so detectives weren’t searching for the car prior to the complaints about it from neighbors.

A McCreary County woman had to be flown to UK Hospital after she was stabbed, and the reason her alleged attacker says he did it is unusual.

According to the McCreary County Voice, around 8:00 Friday morning Sherry King flagged down a driver in Pine Knot after she’d been stabbed several times in the stomach.

The driver took her to an EMS Station where paramedics called for a helicopter.

When troopers investigated the home where the attack occurred, they found Chad Reed suffering from a slash on his arm as well as blood splattered all around the house.

Trooper say King had managed to wrestle the knife out of Reed’s hands and cut Reed on the arm after he attacked her.

The paper reports Reed told troopers he stabbed King because he believed she was an angel while he was the devil and he had to kill her to take her powers.

Reed is facing assault and public intoxication charges.

One person is dead and another at UK Hospital after a serious wreck involving a semi-truck in Montgomery County, Friday afternoon.

Erica Caldwell was on her way home from work, she said she was behind a white car on US-60, waiting to make a left hand turn onto the bypass when she watched an accident unfold.

“It was just a big crash,” said Erica Caldwell, witness. “I mean they hit hard, very hard.”

Witnesses said when the semi-truck came to a complete stop, the car was in a ditch.

“The first thing I saw was the white car that it was going over the ditch,” Caldwell said. “I stopped and ran out and got down there.”

The Montgomery County Sheriff said the young woman was taken to UK hospital, while her passenger went to a local one.

The re-construction unit was called to the scene but had a difficult time because of the weather.

“We’re marking the scene where we can come back later if we need to,” said Sheriff Fred Shortridge, with Montgomery County. “We can come back and put the vehicles in the same exact spot.”

Some who live in the area told LEX 18 they’re not surprised to hear there’s been a serious accident at the intersection.

“At least once a month, if not more, we have a wreck there,” Caldwell said.

“Just be cautious especially if you’re turning into the path of somebody else,” Sheriff Shortridge said.

The coroner confirmed that one of the people in the car died, but is not releasing their name until the family is notified.

Friday’s accident comes as another blow to the community, which is still praying for Aaron Williams.

Williams crashed his car on his way to a dance last Saturday night.

He remains in critical condition, but after days in a coma, his family says he gave them a thumbs up.
