Private Detective: Lexington Man Accused of Injuring Sons

A Lexington father is accused of purposely hurting his 2 three-month old sons. It’s news that came as a shock to neighbors who know the man.

Some who live in the area describe it as a safe and family-friendly community, but what investigators say happened between a 24-year-old man and his 2 infant sons is far from that

According to the arrest citation, Jaron Hamilton is facing 3 counts of first degree criminal abuse. Investigators believe he intentionally caused physical harm to one of his 3-month old-sons on at least 2 separate occasions, and did the same to his other 3-month-old son at least once.

Several people who’ve live in the neighborhood where the crimes allegedly happened say that for the most part, they all know one another.

They’re shocked to hear Hamilton is accused of doing such things.

“We would always come out and stuff, and he would be that person. I would never see him do anything bad, or try to hurt anyone. Everybody would just come outside and play and get a get together and stuff like that,” said neighbor Christian Verdin.

Hamilton was taken to the Fayette County Detention Center.

Accident Reconstruction 6 Killed in Crash in Wayne County

The Wayne County coroner has identified the 6 people killed in a crash Friday night in Monticello. It happened just before 6 p.m. on Kentucky 90.

The clean-up and crash reconstruction on Highway 90 lasted into Saturday morning, and blocked traffic in both directions. The tragic accident is something neighbors who live near the scene won’t forget.

“At first, they thought the van was a Mustang because the top was completely gone, but they realized that it was a mini van. That’s the one that all the folks passed away in,” said resident Ann Hickman.

State police say the family of 6 was leaving Monticello on Highway 90, when their sedan crossed the center line and hit a pickup truck driving the opposite direction.

The coroner pronounced a Monticello woman, her two children and her three grandchildren dead at the scene. They are identified as 41-year-old Tena Proctor, 25-year-old Sarah Elizabeth “Audrey” Ellis, 12-year-old Nathan Proctor, four-year-old Christian “Red” Barnhouse, two-year-old Zoe Bertram, and one-year-old Jace Bertram.

“It’s something that’s never happened around here for quite some time, and it has a very major impact, because this is a small community. Most people know most people, and it’s very devastating,” said Hickman.

State police say the two men in the pickup truck were taken to the hospital with injuries. Troopers are still investigating what may have caused the sedan to cross the center line and hit the pickup.

A friend of the family has created a GoFundMe page to raise money for the funeral.

Wrongful Death Woman’s Body Found in Suitcase in Utah

The body of a woman found stuffed in a suitcase and tossed along the side of I-80 in Salt Lake County could be connected to a missing person case out of Nevada.

“It’s believed that she was out there anywhere from several weeks, several months. There was a time period out there, she was badly decomposed,” said Lt. Justin Hoyal of Unified Police Department.

But some elements found on the body could make the victim easier to identify. According to Hoyal, the woman had a mastectomy to the right breast and a pink breast cancer ribbon tattoo on the left wrist.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Both match the description of Susana Villalvazo, 46, who has been missing from Las Vegas since November 2014.

“This is a lead we just recently received, and it’s something that we’re going to continue to follow-up on,” Hoyal said. “Our detectives just learned of this.”

But search crews in Nevada said the discovery in Utah confirms their worst fears.

“He took her to Utah. That was always our feeling, and well we have our answer now, don’t we,” said Commander Dave Cummings of Red Rock Search and Rescue.

The group had been assisting the family with independent searches since Villalvazo first disappeared.

The ‘he’ Cummings referred to is Villalvazo’s stepfather, whom has long been suspected of killing her, before dumping the body and then taking his own life.

“He had murdered her, put her into a suitcase, wrapped it in plastic and people could see him struggling to put it into the back of a car,” Cummings said. “Then, he just went straight to the [I-15] and headed for Salt Lake City.”

According to Hoyal, Unified Police is currently working with Las Vegas authorities. However, he said it could be weeks before they confirm their victim’s identity.

But for many, this puts an end to the mystery surrounding Villalvazo.

“We’re pleased that the family now has an answer,” Cummings said. “They have an answer and now they can begin the process of closure, however that works for them.”
