Authorities have issued an Amber Alert for a 6-month-old girl who officials said they believe has been kidnapped.

Officials are searching for Heaven Angel Torres who may have been abducted by her birth mother, 34-year-old Rebecca Denee Castro, who does not have parental rights.

Police said the pair was last seen at a Walmart in Laurel, Montana.

They may be traveling with another 3-year-old girl, Aalyah Brown, on a bus to Yuma, Arizona.

Authorities said Castro has a history of drug abuse and Torres is believed to be in danger.

Kent County deputies are looking for a suspect after several retail fraud complaints in Kent and Ionia Counties.

Investigators say that the incidents have happened at Walgreens in Grand Rapids Township and Lowell Township, as well as in Ionia Co.

Three suspects in the death of a man found at a closed Lexington car wash pleaded not guilty in court Wednesday.

Public defenders were appointed for Thomas Lucky, Joseph Sledge and Kavion Thomas, all accused of robbing and killing a man found dead at the abandoned Premier Car Wash on New Circle Road near Russell Cave Road on Monday night.

Police say Lucky, Sledge and Thomas were likely loitering inside the abandoned business with the victim when the three men beat him to death and took his wallet.

Police say they also caught up with a woman named as a person of interest in the case, but did not release any information on Theresa Jarrett’s involvement.

The Fayette County Coroner says the victim has been identified, but they are still working to track down family, who lives out of state.

All three suspects are expected back in court on Oct. 30.

A Bell County man is behind bars after state troopers say he sexually abused a child.

Middlesboro Police say they received a complaint about the sexual abuse case. As a result of the complaint they ended up arresting 37-year-old Joel Risner Wednesday morning.

The victim is under 12-years-old and Risner is facing first degree sexual abuse charges, say officials.

A former assistant principal was arrested during a traffic stop in Madison County early Tuesday morning while she was in the car with a student she was supposed to have no contact with because of pending sexual abuse allegations.

43-year-old Joy Hayes, former assistant principal at Madison County High School, is now at the county jail facing allegations that she had a sexual relationship with a student she met while she worked at the school.

When Richmond police stopped Joy Hayes’ car on Motel Road around 2 a.m. Tuesday, they found out the female in the passenger seat was a former student whose parents recently pressed sexual abuse charges for an alleged incident that occurred after Hayes resigned from the school in January of this year.

According to a criminal complaint, Hayes repeatedly kissed the student, fondled and touched her inappropriately. On another occasion, Hayes is accused of grabbing the girl’s ear and pulling her to the ground.

Police say she was the second student to come forward to report that they’d been harassed by Hayes.

A spokesperson for Madison County schools says Hayes resigned in January after 18 months on the job because she’d accepted another position.

She was previously the principal at Lexington Traditional Magnet School.

She is charged with sexual abuse first-degree, assault fourth degree, tampering with a witness, and unlawful transaction with a minor.

The Pulaski County coroner says the body of a woman reported missing Tuesday night has been found and an arrest warrant has been issued for her boyfriend.

Officials say the body of 34-year-old Monica Wells was found in a sinkhole away from her home on Providence Road.

Detectives believe her boyfriend, 35 -year-old Johnny Hendrix, killed Wells early Tuesday morning during an altercation then took her body on an ATV into the woods before dumping her in the sinkhole.

After the fight, officials say Hendrix left the home on the ATV and was gone for around two hours before returning home. Based on evidence recovered from the home, detectives feared Wells had been severely injured or killed in the assault. According to police this isn’t the first domestic dispute between the two.

Officials say family first noticed she wasn’t home when she didn’t contact them all day Tuesday and didn’t return home to greet her child when he got home from school. The family has not been able to make contact with Hendrix, either.

An arrest warrant had been issued for Hendrix charging him with domestic assault. Those charges will be upgraded to murder, officials said.

It is believed that he may be with his brother, Freddy Pennington. They are believed to be driving a black 1995 Chevrolet Cavalier with Kentucky tags 793PJJ.

Investigators say they want to speak with Pennington as a witness to the assault.

Wells’ body will be sent to Frankfort for an autopsy.

Detectives say Hendrix should be considered armed and dangerous. Anyone with information as to his location is asked to contact the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office.

Police are asking the public’s help to find a teenage boy who went missing from his West Side home Monday evening.

Dwayne Perkins, 15, left his home in the 700 block of South Independence about 7:15 p.m. and did not return, according to a missing person alert issued by Area North detectives.

He is described as a 5-foot-6, 120-pound black boy with brown eyes, black hair and a dark complexion, the alert said.

He was last seen wearing a black-and-red striped vest with a hood, a blue polo shirt with “DRW” on the left front side, beige khaki pants and black dress shoes, the alert said. He was carrying a black book bag with “DRW” ON IT.

A unidentified white man of unknown age was found dead in a back workshop area of the closed Premier Car Wash on New Circle Road near Russell Cave Road around 7:30 p.m. On Tuesday, police arrested Joseph Sledge, 29, and Kavion Thomas, 24, in connection with the case, and charged them with robbery and murder. On Tuesday night, officers took Thomas Lucky, 28, into custody and charged him with murder and robbery as well.

The Anderson County Sheriff’s Department is asking for help in finding a missing person.

Michael David Miller, 42, was last seen Sunday, October 5 at his parents’ home in Claxton.

Officials say he exchanged text messages with a friend on Tuesday, October 7 but has not been heard from since.

Miller is 5’7″ tall and weighs 150 pounds. He has blond hair and hazel eyes. He may be driving a gray 2010 Hyundai Elantra four-door sedan with license plate 059KKF.
