Pedophile Tracking Former Bourbon County Business Owner Pleaded Guilty

A former Bourbon County business owner pleaded guilty Thursday to charges of possessing child porn.

According to the Herald-Leader, Joe Watkins, Senior, entered the plea on a condition that he can withdraw it if an appellate court reverses a decision by a circuit judge.

Watkins’ lawyer said a judge should have suppressed evidence that Paris police obtained in the case.

Police charged Joe Watkins with child pornography in October 2010 after searching his things and seizing a computer. In July of that year, officials spent several hours searching a vacant building that allegedly belonged to Watkins, and witnesses say officials removed around 75 boxes from the building on Sixth and Main Street.

When asked what was inside those boxes, officials said he couldn’t comment because it was an ongoing inspection and investigation. Watkins responded with obscenities when asked to comment.

Watkins is the former owner of the Chicken Ranch Restaurant and a flower shop in Paris.

In October 2008, police arrested Watkins for a Halloween prank he pulled on co-workers. One of his employees found Watkins lying in a pool of blood with a knife nearby and called 911, sending paramedics and police racing to the scene. When crews arrived, Watkins told everyone it was all a joke. Police charged Watkins with falsely reporting an incident.

Watkins is scheduled for sentencing on Oct. 9.

Police believe the rail car came loose farther up the track before colliding with a Norfolk Southern train that was headed southbound. The car came off the tracks, taking out the crossing signal.

It happened Aug. 4 at a railroad crossing on East Main Street in Georgetown.

No one was hurt, but the engine was damaged. The train serves the local area and wasn’t carrying anything hazardous, however, Georgetown firefighters responded as a precaution.

Missing Person Penn. Couple Traveling Across US in Search of Daughter

A Pennsylvania couple is traveling across the United States in search of their missing daughter. They say the 37-year-old woman has suicidal, paranoid and delusional tendencies, and they have clues she’s headed west.

On July 4, Bill and Nancy Bachman say they were driving on I-80 in Pennsylvania, headed to a psychiatric hospital. Their daughter, Susan Bachman, had threatened to commit suicide. She agreed to admit herself, they said, but then jumped out of the car on the way to the hospital.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“I wanted to catch her, and I screamed her name: ‘Susan! Susan, come back! You’re not going to be hurt. It’s going to be OK.’ I couldn’t imagine her being so fearful. I mean, I’ve never seen her be so fearful and scared — scared to death,” Nancy said Wednesday, after passing out missing person flyers in Salt Lake City.

Nancy and Bill haven’t seen their daughter since. The last time she was spotted was on July 11 in Gary, Indiana. A security guard told the couple Susan stopped at a truck stop and asked to get a ride. When he told Susan it was against the law, he said she started shouting and left.

Friday, the couple hit the road and began traveling the country, searching for their daughter. They’re making a desperate plea.

“Darling, please call us and let us know you’re safe. Just do that,” Nancy Bachman said. “That’s the most important thing, you being safe.”

For anyone who wants to help, Bill and Nancy are people to tweet or Facebook a photo of Susan Bachman. A flyer can be found on the Find Susan Bachman Facebook page.
