Missing Person Scott County Woman Searching for Sister

A Georgetown woman is attempting to find her sister who was traveling to Lexington but never made it.

Desndra Payne boarded a Greyhound bus in Florida headed to Lexington Friday Jan. 24 for their mother’s funeral.

Her sister, Everly Hounshell said the last time she spoke to her sister was Sunday after Payne got on a connecting bus in Atlanta.

“She said that the bus broke down somewhere between Georgia and Tennessee and that she was cold and hungry,” she said.

Then Payne’s phone went dead.

“She missed all of that and she wouldn’t miss that,” Hounshell said.

Hounshell has been trying to get help but after numerous calls to different police departments, she hasn’t gotten any answer about who has jurisdiction.

“When I called Atlanta State Police they said I needed to call Ft. Lauderdale because that’s where she boarded the bus,” she said. “When I called Ft. Lauderdale they said I can’t file a missing person report.”

Plus she said Greyhound didn’t know what bus Payne was on or if it broke down.

“I don’t know who else to call,” Hounshell said.

LEX 18 worked with Hounshell and called the Georgetown Police and after hearing the story, officers jumped to the rescue and filed a missing person report.

“I just hope and pray that she’s not hurt, that something didn’t happen to her,” she said. “I want her found and I want to make sure she is OK.”

Missing Person Brittany Chiasson of Chelmsford, MA

Family, friends and area police departments are actively searching for Brittany Chiasson, 28, who was reported missing to Chelmsford police by her parents Tuesday.

Chiasson, who lives with her parents, Paul and Margaret Chiasson, at 9 Singlefoot Road, phoned the Dunkin’ Donuts in Acton before her scheduled 6 a.m. shift to say she would not be reporting for work, police said. She spent part of the next several hours driving around the area, including dropping a friend off at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting in Lowell at 2 p.m., according to Chelmsford police.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Chiasson’s name and photos were uploaded by police into the FBI’s National Crime Information Center database on Wednesday as a “missing and endangered” person, Deputy Police Chief James Spinney reported.

She was last seen in Lowell driving a gray, 1995 Mazda “MPV” model van, with Mass. license plate number: 421JP6.

Two Chelmsford police detectives are actively pursuing all leads, Spinney said.

“Family and associates have had no contact with her since (Monday). She made a $200 cash withdrawal from a local bank on that date; she has never gone missing before,” read the official missing persons report that Spinney provided to The Sun.

Spinney said detectives were considering all possibilities, including taking into account a possible link to Chaisson’s past issues with substance-abuse. They believe she may have been headed to Lawrence on Monday.

Sara Ray posted several photos of her lifelong friend and Chiasson’s Mazda van on her Facebook page on Tuesday, and took to area roads in her own vehicle in an effort to find her.

“It’s totally out of character” for Chiasson to have taken off for this length of time without contacting her parents, friends, or sister, Amanda, with whom she is very close, Ray said.

Late Thursday afternoon, Ray said she learned from police investigators that the last known cell-tower ping received from Chiasson’s cell phone was on Monday at 2:30 p.m., and it placed her in the area near Exit 34 of Route 3 in Tyngsboro.

“To everyone that knows her, it doesn’t make any sense to have heard nothing at all from her for this long,” said a very concerned Ray. “She’s constantly calling and staying in touch with her parents, her sister, her boyfriend. She usually posts on Facebook what seems like every five minutes. …

“I just can’t wrap my head around this, ” Ray said.

At 2 p.m. on Thursday an unidentified family member posted a message on Chiasson’s personal Facebook page, imploring her to come home.

“brittany J ….. please come home. no one is mad we love you til death. we love you ….” the Facebook posting reads. “no questions asked. baby girl …… we want you home.”

Spinney said anyone with information on Brittany Chiasson’s disappearance, or who spots her vehicle, is urged to contact the Chelmsford Police Department immediately, at (978) 256-2521.

Police are asking for help in locating Brittany Chiasson of Chelmsford, who has not been in contact with friends or family in several days.
