Police confirm they have found the Facebook murder suspect dead in his car in the city of Erie after a chase with Pennsylvania State Police Tuesday.
Steve Stephens was found inside in of his Ford Fusion with a self-inflicted gunshot wound around 11:15 a.m. During the pursuit, the car was described as a white Ford Fusion. Stephens was driving a vehicle with the same description and temporary license plates, Cleveland police said.

Police are blocking off the area with crime-scene tape.
The search for the suspect who authorities said killed an elderly man and then posted the video on Facebook expanded outside Ohio, with authorities calling on residents of nearby states to be on alert.
Stephens is accused of killing 74-year-old Robert Godwin on Sunday in a residential area east of Cleveland, police said.
Stephens uploaded a video to his Facebook page showing a gun pointed at Godwin’s head. He forced the elderly man to say the name of his ex-girlfriend before executing him.
The video was posted around 2 p.m. Sunday. Facebook later disabled access to it.
Stephens claimed on Facebook that he committed multiple homicides, but police said they have no knowledge of other victims.
