A woman and a teenager are behind bars after they allegedly tried to steal money from a Campbellsville man on Tuesday.
Campbellsville police say 26-year-old Nikita Looper and a teenage girl were arrested after they asked a man to withdraw money from an ATM or they’d call police and accuse him of rape.
Police say Wallace Faulkner told them he was home when Looper contacted him and asked if he wanted to “take a ride.” After a 2-hour car ride, they stopped at a gas station where a man asked if they’d give him a ride. The man got in the car with the two and that’s when police say he started making threats to Faulkner.

At this point, a 16-year-old girl got involved and the two females told Faulkner to take $500 out of an ATM or they’d accused him of raping them.
Faulkner said he’d go to a convenience store to use the ATM there. Once inside, he told the clerk he was being robbed and asked them to call police.
Looper and the teen were arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment first degree.
The identity of the man involved is still under investigation.
The victim was not hurt.
