Private Detective: Laurel County Police Search For Man on House Arrest

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a man who escaped home incarceration.

Terry Mullins, 47, was on home incarceration regarding an assault first-degree, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to render aid and driving under the influence.

Mullins was allegedly driving a full-size GMC van under the influence and struck a 17-year-old on a bicycle, leaving the teen critically injured.

He was found two miles away from the scene and the 17-year-old’s backpack was found in the front grill of the van.

Mullins fled home incarceration on foot at approximately 3:00 p.m. Friday afternoon.

He is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches, 150 pounds. He has long brown hair, green eyes and a metal prosthetic left leg.

Mullins’ whereabouts is unknown.
