A man involved in a hit-and-run with a school bus on Tuesday was caught in Clay County Thursday night after leading deputies on a wild chase.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Office says Gary Daniels’ car sideswiped a bus Tuesday morning and kept going.
A deputy spotted him Thursday night on the highway and chased him for a short while until Daniels crashed. The deputy then followed him into the woods and arrested him.
Both were taken to the hospital as a precaution.
Daniels is facing a sleu of charges now including fleeing police, wanton endangerment on an officer and has several outstanding warrants.
