Lexington police have made an arrest in a shooting investigation.
Officers arrested Kreisler Charles, 19, Monday. He was wanted in connection with a shooting in the Winburn area last month.
Police responded to a shots fired call around 10:45 p.m. on Oct. 17. Shortly after arriving at the scene, officers located a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg. While police were on the way to UK Hospital, a woman walked into the ER claiming she was shot in a related incident.

According to court documents, the victim told investigators he was at the apartment of Jeffery Adams’ sister paying respects after Adams was shot to death earlier in the day when a fight broke out in the parking lot. Investigators say the victim went outside to see what was happening and saw his brother fighting with another man. The victim tried to break up the fight and ended up scuffling with that other man.
According to court documents, a friend of the man fighting with the victim started shooting, and a bullet struck the victim in the hip. Police say the victim said he knew the shooter only as “Krazytune.” Investigators say they located a Facebook page belonging to Krazytune and ultimately identified him as Charles.
Police have charged Charles with assault.
