A puppy was stolen from the Lexington Humane Society on Tuesday. A couple took an Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix named Thompson by grabbing him and throwing him over a fence. “The puppy had been up for adoption for a few days nothing out of the ordinary,” Lexington Humane Society employee, Ashley Hammond said. “We hadn’t seen anything out of the ordinary people come and go throughout the facility.”

They thieves were caught on camera and police have been notified. The main concern is Thompson’s Health.
“We’re really concerned for Thompson,” Hammond said. “We want him to come back he’s a really sweet guy he’s a sweet boy. He’s on medication we need to continue his medication.”
Because of Thompson’s health, they are offering a deal for the puppy snatchers.
They say that if the puppy is returned in the next 24 hours, no charges will be filed and no questions will be asked.
The puppy is micro-chipped and has been reported stolen. If you have seen Thompson or know the people who took him, contact the Lexington Humane Society at 859-233-0044, extension 247.
