In the wake of the theft of a dog from the Lexington Humane Society, workers there say they will not pursue criminal charges if the dog is returned by 3 p.m. Wednesday.
Thompson, a Blue Heeler/Australian Cattle Dog mix, was stolen from the Humane Society Tuesday afternoon. A couple was captured on film grabbing Thompson and throwing him over a fence.

Workers at the Humane Society are concerned because Thompson needs medication
According to a post on the Humane Society’s facebook page, if Thompson is returned by 3 p.m. Wednesday, either at the main campus adoption center (located at 1600 Old Frankfort Pike) or at the satellite adoption center in PetSmart in Hamburg, no questions will be asked and no charges will be filed.
The puppy is micro-chipped and has been reported stolen. If you have seen Thompson or recognize the people who took him, contact the Lexington Humane Society at 859-233-0044, extension 247
