Drug Dog Sweep 30 Lbs Of Cocaine Seized in Cobb, GA

Three men are behind bars at the Cobb County jail after police say they were caught trafficking large amounts of cocaine through the county.

Juan Trinidad Simental, 34, was arrested on May 27 after a drug dog discovered a cooler filled with over 12 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 75 near SR 120, the Marietta Daily Journal said. Police told the MDJ that the street value of the cocaine was over $500,000. Simental faces felony drug trafficking charges.

On May 31, narcotics officers observing a suspicious Chrysler parked at a Target on Windy Hill Road saw two men arrive at the vehicle, with one of them putting a dealership license plate on it before getting in and driving away. Police sprung into action and soon had the Chrysler and the Mercedes which arrived at the scene pulled over, the MDJ said.

Inside the Chrysler, police found over 15 pounds of cocaine worth just over $700,000. The driver of the Chrysler, Ever Bellon-Mandujano, gave police a series of contradictory and nonsensical answers as to why he was driving the Chrysler, the MDJ said. He was arrested and charged with drug trafficking and driving without a valid license.

Inside the Mercedes, police found over $3,000 in cash, a forged Mexican passport, and Alejandro Renteria-Blanco. Renteria-Blanco was charged with drug trafficking, forgery, and driving without a license, the MDJ reported.
