Despite falling through a ceiling, a burglary suspect managed to steal some rings, only to get caught later trying to cash in on his crime.
Berea police say Wilgus Johnson Jr., 33, broke into the Boone Square Mini Mall through the roof. But once inside the building, his weight was too much for the ceiling, and he crashed through. Police say despite the fall, Johnson managed to steal several rings and get away.
Later that day, police in London detained Johnson after he tried to pawn a ring similar to one stolen from the mini mall. Berea police made the arrest and charged him with burglary.

Berea Police Department Sgt. Jack Reed said a little luck helped in catching Johnson.
“The owner of the Boone Square Mini Mall was actually in London on personal business, but happened to mention at the place he stopped, ‘If you see a ring that looks like this, please call me.'”
