The Nicholasville Police Department is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a man who broke into the Zaxby’s.
The burglary happened around 12:30 Monday morning. Video surveillance shows that the burglar entered the location on US 27 and realized he was being recorded. He then moved the surveillance camera and stole some cash.
“We haven’t had any commercial burglaries like this in quite some time,” said Officer Grimes with the Nicholasville Police Department. “So we don’t know what’s going on with him. He may have had some insider information. He may have worked there. We don’t know.”

While the camera did give police a look at the burglar, their biggest clue in tracking him down was the fact he knew where the camera was. They think he may have had knowledge of the business.
Officer Grimes brought in Zaxby’s manager Sandy Adams and her co-workers to see if the perpetrator looked familiar to any of them.
Adams said that the burglar did look familiar to her.
“He definitely had a plan, and he was definitely familiar with the back of our house and kitchen,” said Adams.
If you have any information about this burglary, you are asked to contact the Nicholasville Police Department. Your tip can be anonymous.
