An argument between a mother and son turned violent in Lexington today when the son stabbed the mother’s boyfriend in the side of the head.
Police say the mother and son were arguing in a home on Race Street when a small child went into the other room and told the mother’s boyfriend. When he got involved, they say the son broke an end table and grabbed a piece of glass, he then stabbed the boyfriend in the side of the head.

The boyfriend was taken to the hospital with non life threatening injuries.
The 19 year-old son took off in a black truck.
His name has not been released but police have his number and are trying to track him down.
