A robber’s choice of shoes may have made it easier for detectives to find him.
The man did not raise any red flags for people in the Lexington Food Market near Third and Race Streets. He bought a small purchase and left the store.
“About 20 minutes later, another subject shows up which we believe is the same person, but this time he’s changed his sweatshirt to where he’s now concealed,” Detective Mark Thomas with the Lexington Police Department told LEX 18’s Kristen Pflum.

He rushes in with his gun pointed at the clerk’s face; he gets the money and runs out.
He didn’t change his pants or his bright orange sneakers.
The detectives were able to rewind the tape and get a clear shot of his face.
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest.
