Nicholasville Police have arrested a woman they say physically abused a 4-month-old infant.
On Tuesday, officers with the Nicholasville Police arrested 34-year-old Erin Thompson on a charge of criminal abuse in the first degree on a child under 12.
Investigators tell LEX 18 that Thompson was babysitting a 4-month-old baby girl and several other children when she called 911 for a medical emergency.

First responders found the baby girl with serious physical injuries and took her to UK hospital, where she was admitted to the ICU.
Police won’t say what exactly her injuries are, but they do not think this was an accident.
“Based upon their evidence and the doctors information and everyone coming together they feel these were injuries sustained by Miss Thompson,” Kevin Grimes with Nicholasville Police told LEX 18.
Police are asking the parents of any other child who was in this woman’s care to please call them if they think they’re child is also a victim.
Thompson was arrested and lodged in the Jessamine County Detention Center.
