Private Detective: Thieves Steal Thousands of Dollars of Equipment From Local Tattoo Parlor

Thousands of dollars of equipment was stolen from a Lexington tattoo parlor overnight, along with some memories that can never be replaced.

The thieves busted a hole in the window of Charmed Life Tattoo on North Limestone. Supplies that were stolen include tattoo machines and needles.

Owner Robert Alleyne says that there is one thing that was stolen that he can’t replace.

The thieves took a computer full of pictures, including the only photos he and his wife have of their little boy as well as pictures of a beloved friend who has passed away.

“Nine years of life on there. The stuff I can’t replace. That’s what really makes me mad,” Alleyne told LEX 18.

The thieves didn’t walk out the front door after grabbing all of the stuff, but instead, they shoved the equipment back through the hole in the window and took off down the street.

“You’re gonna take from a small business? People that work 10, 12, 13 hours a day? 6 days a week?” Alleyne said.

Alleyne told LEX 18 that he wants the public to be aware that if the thieves plan to open their own operation, they’ll likely spread disease.

Charmed Life Tattoo will hold a fundraiser this weekend to recoup their losses.
