One person is dead after a crash on a busy stretch of road in Franklin County.
It happened on Versailles Road (US 60) in Frankfort just past the the Eastwood Shopping Center. Police say a white passenger car pulled into the path of a semi operated by Phoenix Transportation.
The driver of the car has died. A female passenger was taken to an area hospital.

The driver has been identified as 90-year-old William F. Howard of Frankfort.
Major Rob Warfel with the Frankfort Police Department told LEX 18 that the police will look into the possibility of running a red light, excessive speed or if one of the drivers was pre-occupied with a mobile device.
