Drug Dog Sweep Two Arrested After Dog Detects Drugs in Lafayette, Indiana

A drug-detecting police dog changed whatever plans Cory Scott Whitaker and Steven Keith Whitaker might have had for Thursday and the weekend.

Lafayette police made a traffic stop at Sagamore Parkway and South Street about 1 a.m. Thursday. A police dog walking around the car indicated there might be drugs inside the car, and police searched it.

They found marijuana, heroin, methamphetamine, ecstasy and paraphernalia.
