Private Detective: Police Searching For Escaped Inmate in Franklin Co.

Several Law Enforcement agencies in Frankfort are looking for an escaped inmate from Campbellsburg near the intersection of I-64 and US 60 in Franklin County.

Sheriff Pat Melton says that Kentucky State Police caught up with the inmate near that intersection after responding to a report of a stolen car.

The subject fled on foot. K9 units are trying to track him.

At this time, officials have not released the inmate’s name or said if he is considered dangerous.

Kentucky State Police, the Franklin Sheriff’s Office, and the Frankfort Police Department are all working the case.
