Private Detective: Man Breaks Into Phone Store

Lexington Police are looking for a man who broke into a phone store.

Police say the burglar took high-priced items from the Sprint store on Nicholasville Road.

Detective Bryan Penix with the Lexington Police Department told LEX 18 that surveillance footage shows the burglar throw a large rock through the front glass door, shattering it. He kicks out the rest before getting inside the business.

Detective Penix said the alarm was going off, but he took whatever he could get his hands on.

“He obviously knew what he was after because he goes directly to the display and forcefully rips the items off and places them in a bag,” said Detective Penix.

“Electronic items can be sold on the street. We’re wondering if he has possibly sold these to anyone,” said Detective Penix.
