Madison County Sheriff’s deputies arrested two people during a traffic stop Thursday. They say one man was found locked in the trunk of the car.
According to the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, 18-year-old Montana Kelley was driving on Hallie Irvine Street just after 1:30 p.m. Thursday when she was stopped by a sheriff’s deputy.
During the traffic stop, the deputy discovered Kelley was driving without a valid license.
Kelley and her passenger, 28-year-old Beverly Horn, Jr., got out of the car while it was searched. The deputy found drugs belonging to Horn.

The deputy brought in a K-9, who helped discover there was something locked in the trunk of the car.
25-year-old Brett D. Cain was found in the trunk. Deputies say Cain had an outstanding indictment warrant. We’re told Cain was searched, which led to drug related charges.
Horn was cited for Illegal Possession of a Legend Drug and released.
Kelley was arrested and charged with No Registration Plate, No Registration Receipt, No Operators License, Failure to Wear Seatbelts, Failure of Non-Owner to Maintain Required Insurance 1st Offense, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, and Hindering Prosecution or Apprehension 2nd Degree.
Cain was arrested and charged with Trafficking Marijuana (less than 8oz) 1st Offense, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, two counts of Robbery 1st, two counts of Burglary 1st, and Persistent Felony Offender 1st.
Kelley and Cain are currently in the Madison County Detention Center.
