A Laurel County woman accused of stabbing her husband in the chest told LEX 18 that she was protecting her children.
“I started telling him I would hurt him if he touched one of my kids,” Jenny Love told LEX 18.
Investigators say they found the 29-year-old’s husband, Bradley Gossett, with a stab wound to the chest at a property on Lake Road Saturday.
Love told LEX 18 that she and Gossett have three children together, but they are separated. She said she went to pick up their two-year-old son Saturday when Gossett attacked her.

She says that is when she stabbed Gossett.
“I know they’ve been molested. That’s why I needed to get my little boy out of there,” said Love.
Love told LEX 18 that Gossett has sexually abused the children. LEX 18 obtained a copy of an order of protection Love took out against Gossett the day before she stabbed him. In it, she states that Gossett assaulted her in November.
“The proper procedure would be, not ever to take matters in to your own hands. You should always notify law enforcement. If we need to get other agencies involved we will,” said Deputy Gilbert Acciardo.
An investigation is underway in regard to the allegations of sexual abuse.
