UPDATE: The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office has announced that all four individuals were arrested and charged over the weekend.
The Laurel County Sheriff has named four suspects, including two Lexington men, in a check forging ring.
Sheriff John Root says the group forged counterfeit checks in the name of a local church and tried to cash them at a local bank. He says an employee at First National Bank of London found a large check before it was cashed and called the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff tells LEX 18 the group has gotten away with $15,327.
The suspects being sought are 60-year-old David Hosey of Lexington, 50-year-old Leo Hull of Lexington, 47-year-old Mitchell Followell of Harrodsburg and 22-year-old Benjamin Knight of Dry Ridge.
All four are wanted for theft by deception, theft of identity of another without consent, criminal possession of a forged instrument, forgery and engaging in organized crime.
