A Knox County man tells police he stabbed and killed a man who tried to leave his home Monday night.
State Police were called to the home of Brandon Burnett,27, on Moores Creek Road in Dewitt, around 11 pm. Troopers say they found Gary Hobbs,33, dead in the living room with two stab wounds to the chest.

During a police interview, they say Burnett admitted taking several drugs including “Flaka” sometime that evening and stabbing Hobbs when he tried to leave his home. Burnett has been charged with murder.
