Pedophile Tracking Romeoville, IL Man Gets 108 Years

A Romeoville man found guilty late last year of filming child pornography and sexually assaulting a young girl for nearly 10 years will spend at least the next six decades in prison.

Will County Judge David Carlson on Tuesday sentenced 38-year-old Timothy Brandt to 108 years in prison. He will not be eligible for parole for 66 years, the Herald-News reported. If he’s ever released, he will have to register as a sexual predator for the rest of his life.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Brandt was arrested in May 2013 on criminal child sex abuse and aggravated child pornography charges after investigators executing a search warrant at his Romeoville home found a laptop containing videos showing Brandt sexually abusing a 12-year-old girl, authorities said at the time. The arrest came after a two-month investigation by the Will County High Technology Crimes Unit, Romeoville police and the Secret Service after he posted videos and photos of himself abusing the girl.

The judge reviewed evidence showing that Brandt had molested the girl since she was 4 years old

Wrongful Death Mother Arrested After Dead Baby Found At Recycling Site

A 24-year-old woman has been arrested in the death and abandonment of her newborn baby found earlier this month in a recycling center, Chief James Berlin said Monday.

The woman had been pregnant and acquaintances were suspicious about her explanation for the absence of a baby, Berlin said.

The baby boy — estimated to be 1-3 days old — was discovered Jan. 14 by workers sorting items at the ReCommunity Recycling Depot on the 30600 block of Groesbeck.

According to the police, the infant’s body showed no obvious signs of trauma and still had the umbilical cord attached, meaning the baby may have been discarded shortly after birth.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Donations to provide a proper burial have poured in from around Macomb County.

Kaul Funeral Home in Roseville will donate its services and provide a casket for the infant, manager Timothy McGillen said earlier this month.

McGillen said he is uncertain when the service would be held.

The baby also has an unofficial name: Henry Alexander Macomb, Berlin said earlier this month. Workers at the Macomb County Medical Examiner’s Office named the boy after the county’s namesake, Gen. Alexander Macomb, Berlin said.

“They thought he looked like a Henry,” he said. “He deserves a name. He deserves to be more than a number.”

Clinton Township supervisor Robert Cannon announced earlier this month that Rizzo Environmental Services and the Clinton Township Fire Fighters Association Local 11381 will buy a headstone for the boy.

The newborn will be buried in Resurrection Cemetery, 18201 Clinton River Road, in Clinton Township.

Shortly after the depot announced the discovery of the body, it was contacted by the Meridian Police Department, which was working to locate a missing baby in Ingham County. But DNA tests determined it was not the same missing boy.

Anybody with information is asked to call the Roseville Police at (586) 447-4483 or Crime Stoppers at (800) 773-2587
