Missing Person Father and Daughter Missing in Mesquite, TX

The Mesquite Police Department is investigating a report of two missing persons — Justin Patrick Criner, 39, and his 4-year-old daughter Cirri Renee Criner.

They were last seen at a family member’s residence on Teton Drive in Mesquite April 27. Although there is no evidence of foul play, the family insists that it is unusual for Criner to take his daughter and stay out of contact for so long.

Criner is believed to be driving a red 2011 Ford Focus sedan with Texas License plate CF7-D492. The car was seen in the area of Jefferson and Crawford in Dallas around 7 p.m. April 27.

Private Investigator, Two Arrested in Connection with Laurel County Tailgate Thefts

The Laurel County Sheriff’s Office has arrested two in connection with the theft of several tailgates in Laurel County.

Travis North, 25 and Kalyn Rednour, 24 were both arrested at a residence on Jon R Jones Road, 10 miles west of London.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

The arrest of North was the result of an investigation after numerous tailgates were stolen from pickup truck in the county.

According to officials, North had allegedly been to several car lots trying to sell tailgates.

After being identified as a suspect, North attempted to make restitution to a victim of a tailgate theft.

Rednour allegedly wrote a check to a victim for restitution, however that check had insufficient funds in the account.

North is charged with receiving stolen property under $10,000 and Rednour is charged with theft by deception – cold checks under $500.

Detectives are attempting to locate some of the stolen tailgates, which they believe were sold in another county nearby.

Wrongful Death Men Charged in 2010 Murder Sentenced to 5 Years

Two men charged in a 2010 murder at a Lexington business were formally sentenced in the case Wednesday.

Kenneth Wadkins and Joseph Richardson were each sentenced to five years in prison in the death of Ricardo Cole, who was shot to death in the Camelot West parking lot on Dec. 18, 2010.

Cole was found with two gunshot wounds. Witnesses told LEX 18 he was shot in the chest and lower back.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Both men pleaded guilty to amended charges earlier this month. They were both originally charged with murder, but the Commonwealth agreed to reduce the charges against them because some of the key witnesses in the case wouldn’t agree to testify. Wadkins charges were reduced to criminal facilitation to manslaughter, and Richardson’s to reckless homicide.

Both pleaded guilty to those charges on April 14 with a recommended sentence of five years.

Richardson admitted to shooting Cole. He said he then got in a vehicle with Wadkins.

Even though that confession was made in the courtroom, the Commonwealth said there was nothing they could do.

“If we were to go to trial, we can’t use anything they say in a guilty plea,” Assistant Commonwealth Attorney Kimberly Baird said.

Despite the victim’s family’s objection, the men were each sentenced to five years.

Private Investigator, Police Search for Lexington Bank Robbery Suspects

Officials are looking for two suspects in an armed robbery at a Lexington bank Wednesday morning.

Police say two men came into Peoples Exchange Bank on Richmond Road just after 11 a.m., showed a handgun and demanded money. Police say they ran toward an apartment complex. It’s unclear how much they took off with.

Officials only have a very vague description of the suspects, whom they describe as two men wearing bandanas and grey hoodies.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

That’s the same description police have of two suspects in an attempted robbery at the Check Advance on Versailles Road that happened only about a half hour earlier.

Police are not releasing any other details at this time or saying if the two robberies may be connected.

Drug Dog Sweep More Than 500 Grams of Meth Found in Safe in Trunk

Federal authorities have charged an Oklahoma man with drug trafficking after Potter County deputies found more than 2 pounds of methamphetamine inside his vehicle during a traffic stop.

About 1 p.m. April 23, a Potter County deputy stopped a 2013 Hyundai Elantra along Interstate 40 on a traffic offense of making an improper lane change. After talking to the driver, Karl Wesley Kasiner, 46, of Eufaula, Okla., the deputy noticed “numerous indicators of possible criminal activity,” according to a federal criminal complaint.

http://liarcatchers.com/drugdogsweeps.html

The officer issued Kasiner a warning ticket for improper lane change, and returned Kasiner’s driver’s license and other documents. The deputy then asked Kasiner for consent to search the vehicle, but Kasiner refused. Another deputy then used a drug dog to check the outside of Kasiner’s vehicle, the complaint said.

The dog alerted to the presence of drugs inside the Hyundai and deputies found a small safe inside the vehicle’s trunk. Kasiner then gave officers a key to the safe and investigators found more than 2 pounds of methamphetamine bundles in the safe. A Drug Enforcement Administration officer arrived at the location and advised Kasiner of his constitutional rights. Kasiner told investigators the drugs were his and that he planned to take them to Eufaula to sell them, according to the complaint.

Kasiner, who was charged April 25 with possession with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of methamphetamine, remains in the Randall County jail, pending further hearings in his case.
