Missing Person Rhonda McCall of Missoula, Montana

The Missoula County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the community’s assistance in locating possible missing persons.

Deputies have received information from the family of a 43-year-old Missoula area woman named Rhonda McCall, that they have not heard from her for several days. The family states that Rhonda was to meet them at a camp site in the Gold Creek (Blackfoot River area) on August 11, however, she did not show up there.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Rhonda is thought to have her two children, ages 10 (son) and 8 (daughter), a dog, and two cats with her. She is reported to be driving a 1988 Dodge Dakota pickup, silver in color, bearing Montana license plate 4C 58188.

We received information that Rhonda stated to other family members that she was, in fact, going to meet her party in the Schwartz Creek area (Clinton). It is unknown if Rhonda actually went to either one of these areas, although her family reports that they have been checking the Schwartz and Gold Creek areas thoroughly.

Rhonda is reported to be an outdoor person who is experienced in the woods. There is no information at this time that she or her party is in distress or that there is any criminal activity associated with her being missing. However, along with Rhonda’s family, we are very interesting in locating her and her children to ensure their welfare.

If you have seen Rhonda or a vehicle matching the description given, please call 911.

Identity Theft Woman Faces More Than 40 Charges

A 34-year-old woman accused of identity theft, counterfeiting, child abuse and a string of other charges was airlifted to a hospital in Salt Lake City after leading officers on a high speed chase through multiple counties in central Wyoming, according to the Park County Sheriff’s office.

When a Hot Springs County Sheriff’s deputy tried to pull over the truck Jamie L. Cleghorn was driving at about 5 p.m., she fled, the Park County Sheriff’s Office said. Cleghorn, whose last known address was in Alabama, has at least 42 felony and misdemeanor charges against her in Wyoming and Utah, including identity theft, manufacturing fake identities, passing counterfeit money, possessing drugs, child abuse and giving pornography to children under the age of 10, the Park County Sheriff’s Office said.

http://liarcatchers.com/identity_theft_investigation.html

The chase started in Hot Springs County near Thermopolis and ended in Riverton in Fremont County after Cleghorn sideswiped a Jeep, crossed five lanes of traffic and sheared off a gas meter and power pole, the sheriff’s office reported.

Cleghorn was taken to Riverton Memorial Hospital and then airlifted to Salt Lake City. Her condition was not immediately available Wednesday night.

The crash is being investigated by the Wyoming Highway Patrol and charges relating to the wreck are pending in Fremont County, the sheriff’s office said.

It is possible that more warrants for Cleghorn from additional states may be discovered as the investigation continues.

Missing Person Remains Found in Decade Old Case in West Virginia

Skeletal remains have been found in what investigators believe is a missing persons case that is over a decade old.

Mary Cobb and her daughter Wynona Delvecchio disappeared in Jasper back in 2002. Now, investigators in West Virginia believe they’ve found remains of at least one of the women.

Wanda Kiser has been arrested and charged with concealing a dead body or aiding and abetting to conceal a dead body in West Virginia in connection with the case.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

Walker County District Attorney Bill Adair said Kiser use to live across the street from then-105-year-old Mary Cobb and her 85-year-old daughter Wynona Delvecchio in Jasper when the two went missing after being checked out of their nursing home.

Adair says in 2012, they found a skull under the missing ladies’ house, but haven’t received a positive identification yet.

Since the remains in West Virginia, where Kiser now lives, have been found, local investigators are in route with x-rays from a Jasper doctor of one of the missing women.

“Very bizarre, the fact that we have a skull here and then having other remains up there I think is very bizarre circumstances,” Adair said.

Jasper Police Chief Connie Rowe says she’s been told by the medical examiner in West Virginia that it appears the remains discovered there may belong to more than one person.

Police have been asked whether Kiser could have been the person who checked the women out of their nursing home. Rowe said they do have those records, but can’t release that since it’s part of the investigation.

Missing Person Travis Houston of Zanesville, OH

A missing persons report has been filed for a teenager who went missing after the fair Sunday night.

Travis Houston, 14, of Zanesville, last contacted his aunt and caretaker, Melissa Greiner, early Monday morning from a friend’s home on Spangler Drive. Greiner notified Houston that if he wasn’t home by Monday morning, authorities would be contacted. When her nephew didn’t show up, she contacted Zanesville police and the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office to report a missing person.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

“Some people have said they’ve seen him at the fair but police haven’t been able to locate him,” Greiner said.

Greiner has made hundreds of fliers to put up at the fair. She said Houston had been running with a rough crowd since during the past year, most of them 18- and 19-year-old boys. Although she reported her nephew missing, she’s concerned that her plea for help isn’t being treated with the sort of urgency it deserves.

Griener said she was told by the ZPD that an Amber alert would not be issued.

Captain Doug Merry confirmed that an Amber alert was not being issued because there are a host of criteria that has to be met before the state will accept one of those alerts.

“I’m trying not to think the worst, but it’s tough. How long do I have to wait? What’s sufficient time for this to be considered an emergency?” Griener said.

Houston is 5 feet 2, 140 pounds, with sandy brown hair and blue eyes. He has a tattoo of a cross over his heart, a memorial to his father. Greiner asked for anyone with information on the boy’s whereabouts to contact her at 740-297-4130, or ZPD at 740-455-0700.

Pedophile Tracking Dayton Man Arrested

A parent’s quick thinking resulted in the arrest Tuesday of a Dayton man accused of soliciting sex from a 12-year-old boy.

Tyler Mitchell, 19, was arrested at the East Branch of the Dayton Metro Library on Wyoming Street just after noon on Tuesday where he was allegedly conversing with the boy on Facebook.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Dayton Police Sgt. Larry Tolpin said the boy first had contact with Mitchell at the library the day before.

Mitchell allegedly convinced the boy to meet him at Walnut Hills Park on Wayne Avenue where he reportedly propositioned the boy to have sex.

The boy did not go along with the plan, Tolpin said, and went home instead.

Mitchell allegedly continued to contact the boy on Facebook, at which point the boy’s parents became aware of the conversation.

“The victim’s father assumed the 12-year-old’s identity and continued the conversation on Facebook,” Tolpin said.

The suspect again propositioned the boy for sex prompting the father to call police.

Officers went to the library and found Mitchell using a public access computer. He had his Facebook account up on the screen with the conversation with the boy documented, Tolpin said.

He credited the father’s diligence in monitoring his son’s online activity with catching an alleged predator.

“Parents need to be involved and aware, especially of who their children are conversing with on the Internet,” he said.

Mitchell is facing a possible felony charge of importuning.
