Private Detective Reward Offered for Madison County Serial Robber

Police are looking for a serial robber they consider armed and dangerous who keeps hitting Madison County businesses.

Police think he’s the same person who has robbed four stores in about two week’s time.

Just before closing, a man wearing a dark jacket with a blue hoodie barged into the Kingston Shell gas station pointing a gun at the two clerks and demanded money. The clerks complied. Then, the suspect took the whole cash tray, and was in and out of the store in less than a minute.

The suspect’s description is vague, given the fact he covers his face. But police think he’s the same guy who robbed the D and G Food Mart last week, stealing the cash tray. He’s even wearing the same jacket and hoodie.

Photos from a robbery at Bybee Grocery, show the robber’s size, build and method, are practically identical to Tuesday night’s hold up.

The same goes for a robbery at the Richmond Redi Mart last week. The emblem on his sweatshirt is the same, and he grabbed the cash tray.

Until he’s caught, owners and clerks will be looking over their shoulders.

“We’ve been robbed several times over here,” said Wanda Pennington, Kingston Shell owner. “It’s always fearful when they pull a gun and say ‘I want your money,’ so we just want him to be caught before somebody gets hurt.”

The owner of the Kingston Shell is offering a $500 reward for his capture and successful prosecution. Richmond police are also offering a $1,000 reward.

If you know who the man is, contact Richmond Police or Kentucky State Police. They say they’re running down some good leads as we speak.
