Private Detective: Lexington Gas Station Robbed After Clerk Buys Suspect Coffee

Lexington Police are searching for the suspect of a Sunday morning gas station robbery.

Investigators say a man walked into the Shell station at the corner of New Circle and Broadway around 7:15 a.m.

The clerk told police that the man didn’t have enough money for coffee and was lingering inside of the store. The clerk bought the man coffee and he then left the store. The man came back to the Shell without the coffee and robbed the gas station while threatening the employee with a knife.
