A man dressed in a clown costume was arrested walking around in Middlesboro, Bell County officials confirm.
According to his citation, Jonathan Martin, 20, was spotted walking around in full clown dress by a Middlesboro Police Officer. Dispatch had previously received a call of a clown lurking around Cumberland Village Apartments.
The officer took Martin into custody where he was charged with wearing a mask in a public place and disorderly conduct.

Martin also had an existing bench warrant for failure to appear and non-payment. He is still in clown dress in his booking photo.
The arrest matches the circulation of photos of clowns alleged to be lurking around Kentucky. Police have warned individuals against walking around and scaring people due to the dangers it could pose.
