Private Detective: Donation Jar Stolen From Gas Station

A donation jar stolen right off a gas station counter, and the thieves were caught on camera.

It happened at the Marathon on Lansdowne, where they were raising money for a worker who was shot during a robbery attempt in September. Chuck Moore was shot four times that night.

“We want to try and give him the best start he can,” said Dave McKelvey, the store’s manager.

That’s why the store kept a jar next to the cash register. It’s to help their dear friend, who is paralyzed and can’t move back home yet. But tonight, caught on video, you can see two people walk in at 6:46, and swipe the jar.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

“Now what my cashier told me was that they came up, they asked for a cigar. She steps over, and he just moves the jar, hands it off to his buddy I believe,” said McKelvey.

By 6:51, both men had gotten back in the same car and drove off.

“These guys. Someone’s gonna know who they are. They’re gonna find them,” said McKelvey.

This Saturday starting at 11:00, there will be another fundraiser for Chuck Moore. The cookout will be at the Marathon Mini Market on Lansdowne.

Wrongful Death Man Accused of Jessamine County Murder Tries to Get Case Thrown Out

The man accused in the death of a Nicholasville man tried to get his case thrown out but the judge denied his request.

David Peel is one of two men charged in the death of Mark Dunn. Dunn was killed in 2008. His body was discovered in his burned truck.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Odis Henson pleaded guilty to his role in the Dunn’s death. He agreed to testify against Peel, telling a judge that he witnessed David Peel shoot and kill Mark Dunn. He pleaded guilty to arson and evidence tampering and was sentenced to 10 years.

Peel wanted the case dismissed because two years of police files are missing and his attorney doesn’t believe he can get a fair trial.

Mark Dunn’s widow sat across from Peel in court and spoke with LEX 18, saying her husband got an automatic death sentence. She is ready for Peel to go to trial.

Peele will go to trial on March 13.

Private Detective: Reward Offered for Information on Vandalized School Buses

Richmond Police are investigating after they say twelve Madison County school buses were vandalized.

The incident happened back in October, but police say they’re now offering a reward for information leading to an arrest of the individual or individuals who smashed out windows and headlights of the buses.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

Bus garage employees say it happened back on the evening of October 25 and that there’s about $10,000 in damage. Security cameras were also destroyed.

Investigators tell LEX 18 the letters “KKK” were sprayed painted on the sides of the buses.

Madison County School employees tell LEX 18 the buses were in service for school use, and that they would have been used for evacuation purposes should Madison County ever come under a state of emergency.
