Texarkana, Ark. Police are asking for public’s help in locating a missing and endangered person, 75-year-old Cecile Bringham.

According to police, Bringham was last seen on August 31st, at 8:00am, leaving from CVS Pharmacy at 3908 North State Line Avenue, wearing dark clothing and a red jacket using a walker.

A homicide investigation is underway in on Old Hustonville Road in Boyle County.
Don Hamner, the Boyle County Corner, says the victim is Rhonda Oakley, 52. He says her step-son found her dead in the basement when he came home from school Thursday afternoon.
The coroner says Oakley was in the basement for about an hour before she was found. Hamner cannot say what kind of wounds she has, but says they are not self-inflicted.

“This is a death of a 52-year-old lady that was found on the basement floor when her son got home from school,” Hamner said. “It does appear to be a homicide.”
Troopers say no arrests have been made and no persons of interest have been identified.
However, the victim’s car is missing from her home. Troopers need help finding a 2014 white Honda Civic passenger car with Kentucky plates 211-3BT.
Investigators spent much of the afternoon gathering evidence and talking to neighbors to try to find out what led up to Oakley’s death.
“I’m a few feet away from it I can really only see the yellow tape but I’ve seen a lot of people walk back and forth there really hasn’t been a lot of commotion,” said neighbor Dyllan Stocker.
Others, like Bryan Stocker, say they’re surprised to hear of something like this happening in what is typically a family-friendly neighborhood, “there are signs that say slow down playing so yeah there’s typically not much noise or disturbance out here.”
The victim’s body has been taken to the medical examiner’s office in Frankfort for an autopsy.

A second arrest has been made after an infant was hospitalized with a severe head injury.
On Tuesday, a seven-week-old baby girl was hospitalized at UK for treatment of a head injury.
Her father, Gary Nicely, was arrested later that day on charges of assault first degree, domestic violence, wanton endangerment first degree resisting arrest disorderly conduct second degree, and menacing.

The baby was determined to have critical head trauma.
Her twin was also transported to UK Children’s Hospital with injuries.
Their mother, Jessica Nicely, 31, was arrested on Thursday and charged with two counts of assault first degree, domestic violence, and two counts of wanton endangerment first degree.
Deputies say that the assault charges relate to the seven-week-old babies and the wanton endangerment charges relate to the four-year-old girl and seven-year-old girl at home.
Nicely was lodged in the Laurel County Detention Center.
KSP Detectives have arrested a man in connection with the murder of his father and step-mother.
Nine months after detectives started investigating the murder of Leon Jackson, 64, and Shirley Jackson, 65, of Manchester, Leon Jackson’s son Gregory L. Jackson, 35, was arrested and charged with two counts of murder, burglary 1st degree, tampering with physical evidence, theft by unlawful taking- firearm, and persistent felony offender.

He was lodged in the Clay County Detention Center.
Leon and Shirley were found dead in their home on Burchell Road in Clay County.
Deputies say that a Bell County man and his juvenile girlfriend plotted to kill the girlfriend’s relatives so they could run away together.
Through an investigation, deputies say that they discovered 18-year-old Joseph L. Helton and his girlfriend were sending letters and text messages that discussed causing serious physical injury or death to her family and then running away together.

They state that Helton and the girlfriend formulated a plan for him to enter the girlfriend’s home using pictures sent to him by her of the entrances and exits of the residence. He would then kill her aunt and uncle and they would run away together.
Both were arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit murder. Helton was lodged in the Bell County Detention Center and the juvenile was taken to an Adair County holding facility.
A juvenile has been arrested and charged with assault after police say he accidentally shot a friend in the neck.
Charges were filed against a 16-year-old boy in connection with the shooting of another juvenile.
Investigators with the Lexington Police Department charged the teenager with second degree assault for wantonly causing serious physical injury with use of a deadly weapon.

The shooting happened at an apartment at Raintree Apartments in Lexington. Initially the teen told police that someone shot him from a car and drove away. Eventually, he told police the shooting actually happened after someone found a gun in an apartment at the complex.
Officers determined that three male juveniles – the 14-year-old, 16-year-old, and a 17-year-old – were inside the apartment playing with a handgun. The 16-year-old was in possession of the gun when it discharged, striking the 14-year-old.
The victim remains in the hospital in stable condition.
Police have charged three people following a home invasion robbery near the campus of the University of Kentucky.
The victims told police that three men knocked at their door and then barged into the house on University Avenue around 9 p.m. Wednesday night. Officers say one had a hockey mask and another had a gun.
No one was hurt in the robbery but the crooks got away with a black backpack and some cash.

UK Police picked up three men who were taken in for questioning. After interviewing the suspects, police charged Hunter Ray Reynolds, Jartavious Tremayne Merritt and Reginald Vincent Kimball with first degree robbery.
Merritt and Kimball were also charged with possession of marijuana.
The man police were searching for in connection to his wife’s death has been captured after more than a week on the run.
State Police say that Christopher White was captured in Gibson County, Indiana. White’s wife Judith was found shot to death in their home on Peasticks Road in Owingsville.
According to Judy’s family, the couple had gotten into an argument the weekend before her death and police showed up at the house. When White didn’t show up to work, her employer called police.

State Police initially believed that Christopher White, who was alleged to have stolen Judith’s vehicle, could be in the Natural Bridge area.
White contact the Gibson County Sheriff’s Department from the parking lot of a Love’s Truck Stop and told them he believed he was wanted in Kentucky. He was taken into custody. The sheriff’s office tells LEX 18 that White has signed a waiver of extradition and that he will be sent back to Bath County.
White remains in the Gibson County jail.
A Clear Lake man was sentenced to up to 10 years in prison Tuesday for a felony conviction of lascivious acts with a child.
Amando Montealvo, 58, originally charged with two counts of second-degree sexual abuse, was accused of abusing two girls under age 12 in Clear Lake 10 to 14 years ago.
One of the counts was reduced to lascivious acts with a child. He agreed to enter an Alford plea to that charge in Cerro Gordo County District Court.
In an Alford plea a defendant doesn’t admit to the crime but acknowledges prosecutors could likely prove the charge.
After he is released from prison, Montealvo will be under the supervision of the Department of Corrections for the rest of his life with the possibility of parole. He also must register as a sex offender.
A $1,000 fine was suspended.
Officials with the Fayette County Public School system say that a man tried to get a middle school student in the car with him Wednesday.
The Morton Middle School student said she was walking to the bus stop in the Lakeshore Drive and Altamont Court area, when a man driving a red car pulled over and asked her if she wanted $100.

When she refused the money, he asked her to come toward him.
The girl ran away and the incident has been reported to Lexington Police. They plan to increase patrols in the area.
Police are currently investigating the case.
In a letter sent home to parents, school officials remind them that this is an opportunity to talk to children about the importance of being aware of their surroundings and being cautious around strangers.
Students who walk to school or the bus stop are encouraged to stay in pairs or groups, avoid darkened areas and use main streets instead of shortcuts.
