The second of two Chicago men charged with trafficking underage girls for sex in DuPage County has been sentenced to 10 years in prison.

Laburron Jackson, 30, pleaded guilty this week to one count of involuntary servitude of a minor, and was sentenced to 10 years, according to the DuPage County state’s attorney’s office.

Jackson was arrested in June 2014 along with 30-year-old Demarcus Feltus as part of a sex trafficking sting conducted by Aurora police and the FBI, a statement from prosecutors said.

Undercover agents answered an advertisement offering “2 sexy females” and made arrangements to meet the girls at a hotel near Robert Morris College in Aurora, prosecutors said.

About 12:30 p.m. June 20, 2014, Feltus and Jackson drove the 15-year-old girls to the hotel and waited in the car after dropping them off. They threatened to steal the girls’ personal items if they didn’t have sex with the man they thought were customers, prosecutors alleged.

Once an officer spoke to the girls and confirmed their ages, he gave other agents a signal to arrest the men outside. Jackson was taken into custody without incident, and Feltus was arrested after a short chase, prosecutors said.

Feltus pleaded guilty on Nov. 16, 2015, and was also sentenced to 10 years, according to the state’s attorney’s office.

A Cleveland man is facing federal charges after being indicted by a grand jury Tuesday.

Ronnie L. Pratt, Jr., 20, has been charged with three counts of sex trafficking children, according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Pratt was arrested in November 2015 and charged with one count of Trafficking in Persons and with one count of compelling prostitution by the Cuyahoga County Prosecutor. But after Tuesday’s grand jury indictment Pratt is facing additional charges.

Pratt was arrested after an FBI agent saw a Backpage.com ad that for “a lovely college girl who has a thing for older men,” according to a bureau news release.

The Backpage.com posting advertised a “lovely college girl” who has a “thing for older men.” The photo with it, though, showed a girl who appeared to be underage, according to the FBI.

The agent then contacted the girl, undercover, and arranged a meeting with her and a driver, who turned out to be Pratt, officials said.

At the scheduled meeting, it was confirmed that the “lovely college girl” was actually a 14-year-old female and the adult male driver was Pratt, her pimp..

When the girl was interviewed by officials she told them that she had been working for Pratt since she was 13 and that she knew of other underage girls being trafficked by him, police said.

Pratt’s case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorneys Bridget M. Brennan and Carmen Henderson.

A man was charged Friday in the shooting death of his son, whom he allegedly killed because he was gay, according to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

Shehada Khalil Issa, 69, was charged with one count of willful, deliberate and premeditated murder, officials said. Prosecutors said the felony complaint includes a special allegation that Issa personally and intentionally discharged a shotgun and an allegation that he murdered his son because of his sexual orientation.

His son and wife were found dead Tuesday in his home in the 15000 block of Rayen Street, prosecutors said.

Amir Issa, 29, was shot outside of the house and his body was discovered in the front yard. His mother was found dead inside the bathroom, investigators said.

Prosecutors said Shehada Issa allegedly threatened to kill his son on prior occasions because of his sexual orientation.

Neighbors heard multiple gunshots that morning. They said they often hear arguing at the home. Investigators were determining whether the shootings were a result of a domestic dispute.

An investigation into the mother’s death is ongoing, prosecutors said.

Shehada Issa was being held without bail. If convicted as charged, he faces life in prison without the possibility of parole, prosecutors said.

The Toledo Police Department is requesting assistance from the public locating a missing person.

Police say 19-year-old Alixandria Jones was picked up by an unknown person Wednesday afternoon after an appointment. Police say the female has not been seen since.

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in locating a 28 year old, male, named Geoffrey Michael Bowen.

Bowen is 5’10’, 175lbs, has short brown hair, and a short brown beard. He was last seen driving a 1989 Ford Bronco dark blue in color with white stripes. It has a Michigan Marine Veteran License plate with the registration of OLCC7.

Deputies believe he is intent upon harming himself. They wish to speak with Bowen and check on his welfare only, he has not committed a crime.

Rosemarie Jennifer Morgan, 49, of West Ashley was last seen on Sunday, March 20 at her church in West Ashley.

We’re told Morgan has not been at work or in contact with her family since her disappearance.
