Missing Person Two Year Old From Hamden, Conn.

Police say Hailie Sierra’s mother, 22-year-old Jasmine Hernandez, took the girl from her home at 33 Webb Street. They say Sierra has a restraining order against her mother. While the alert says Sierra is endangered, police say they don’t have any information that tells them she is in danger.

Missing Person James Shook Last Seen in Lincoln City, OR

Troopers are continuing their investigation into a missing Sheridan man whose vehicle was located at Cape Lookout State Park.

On Tuesday, May 19 at 1 p.m. troopers responded to the report of an abandoned vehicle located at the Cape Lookout State Park – day use area south of Tillamook. Investigation revealed the registered owner, James Shook, 49, of Sheridan, had not been seen since May 13, in Lincoln City. Police learned Shook has a history of mental illness and had recently been working in Depoe Bay and residing in Sheridan.

The vehicle, a 1999 Chevy Venture Van was removed from the scene and Tillamook County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue conducted a search of the immediate area.

On May 18, Oregon State Police located family and friends whom had not heard from Snook since May 13 and advised that he may be suicidal.

On May 19, Tillamook County Search and Rescue crews began searching Cape Lookout State Park including the beach areas north to the Netarts Bay entrance for Shook Shook’s vehicle was reported to 911 by park personnel after it found parked in the area for several days.

“Today (May 20), in addition to ground search personnel, the Coast Guard will fly the shoreline area, weather permitting. We are coordinating for search dogs as soon as tomorrow,” Tillamook County Sheriff Andy Long said. “Searching dense growth areas thoroughly is challenging, especially a large area such as Cape Lookout. If we are able to find evidence that indicates a last know location, that would help search teams focus on a smaller areas and sometimes aid in tracking a person’s path.

Long said a person who may be suicidal can present additional challenges.

“We have to consider that a person may have made efforts to not be found, and maybe deceased,” he said.

OSP is asking for the public’s help for information on Shook’s whereabouts. Call OSP Northern Command Center with information, at 503-375-3555.

Pedophile Tracking Sex Offender Get 20 Years for Child Porn

A sex offender who admitted to downloading videos of young girls being raped was given a 20-year prison sentence.

Mario Castaneda Jr., 40, pleaded guilty in February to two counts of child pornography. He originally faced five counts, but prosecutors dropped three counts in exchange for his guilty plea.

“Honestly, there is no excuse for what I did,” Castaneda said in court. “I know what I did was wrong. What I realize is that I need help and what I am asking for is help.”

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Prosecutors say Castaneda downloaded two videos showing young girls between the ages of 6 and 8 being raped. It’s not known if more images were found on Castaneda’s computer.

The Rapid City Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in September came across an IP address that was keeping and distributing child pornography.

A subpoena was issued for the IP address, which traced back to Castaneda’s Sioux Falls home.

Detectives with the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force served a warrant at Castaneda’s home in the 4800 block of South Louise Avenue, and two computers were seized.

“There is no dispute that your behavior is the worst of the worst there is,” Judge Robin Houwman said.

Castaneda was a registered sex offender at the time of his arrest. He was convicted of sodomy of a child under the age of 12 and indecent acts with a child in 2004 in Kentucky.

Private Detective: Disguised Woman Raids Lexington Lens Crafters

Lexington police are searching for a woman who, while dressed in a wig and carrying a large bag, made off with several pairs of designer sunglasses from the Lexington Green Lens Crafters. Store employees say the woman was chatty when she visited just before noon on April 28. She even made small talk with employees, but later stole a key ring and set to work.

http://liarcatchers.com/contact.php

When store employees had their backs turned she accessed a case and removed designer items including Ray Ban and Versace sunglasses. Once employees realized what was missing, they tried to find her in the parking lot. They saw she had a temporary tag on her car. When they went to get the number, something about it didn’t look right and we’ve learned the temporary tag was fake.

The woman is suspected of being a career criminal and could be doing this in other places. Bluegrass Crime Stoppers asks you to be on the lookout for a woman with a wig and a large metallic gold bag where she likes to stash her loot. If you have any information, call Crime Stoppers at (877) 970-2020.

Wrongful Death Man Sentenced For Role in Death of Jessamine Co. Business Man

It took six years for police to make an arrest in the murder of Mark Dunn but when they did, they charged two Nicholasville men.

In a courtroom Friday, one of those men owned up to his role in the death. Odis Henson, stood with his head down as the judge read his signed confession about the day in 2008, when he says he watched David Peel shoot and kill Mark Dunn in Peel’s Nicholasville garage.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

In taking the plea deal he was offered, Henson agrees to offer information he has in his co-defendant’s trial. Henson was charged with arson and evidence tampering in the 2008 shooting death of Mark Dunn. His truck was found set on fire with his body inside. Police say Peel is the one who pulled the trigger.

For the first time, Dunn’s family heard details of exactly what happened that day.

Henson will have to do 10 years on the arson charge and 5 for evidence tampering. Those are to run concurrent for a total of 10 years. It’s not enough for Dunn’s family, but it’s one step closer to finishing the saga.

Wrongful Death Woman Sentenced to 25 Years For Murder of Grandparents

A 25 year sentence has been handed down for a Lincoln County teen accused of killing her grandparents in a house fire.

Allison Wilson did apologize in the courtroom for killing Linda and Everett Garland and setting fire to their home, but family members say right now they just can’t accept it. Wilson plead guilty but mentally ill to two counts of murder back in April.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

In a taped confession, Wilson told state police she started the fire because her grandfather had slapped her when she was 12 years old. Even with an apology to the family in the courtroom, Wilson’s great aunt says she isn’t ready to forgive her.

“This has had an effect on all of us. We don’t want to come back here again and our roots were here and have no desire to return here due to the horror that took place,”  said Lora Harbaugh, the great-aunt of the defendant.

Wilson’s attorney requested the judge make sure that counseling is available to her while she is incarcerated.
