Private Detective: 8 Year Old Son Sexually Attacked on School Bus in Texas

A Fort Worth, Texas mother says she is angry that little is being done after her eight-year-old son was allegedly sexually assaulted on a school bus by two other eight-year-old boys, according to NBC affiliate NBC 5 in Dallas.

Her son is a first grader at Northbrook Elementary in northwest Fort Worth, Texas. It is part of the Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District.

NBC 5 says it typically does not identify alleged sexual assault victims.

The mother said her son has complained recently about getting bullied, but she had no idea it would lead to something more serious.

“This escalated from a bullying to a full-blown sexual assault,” she said.

She said two other eight-year-old boys pulled down her son’s pants on the bus ride to school Thursday morning, performed a sexual act and beat him up.

“This is a scrape mark from when he was punched and kicked in the stomach,” she said, pointing to two red marks on the boy’s stomach. “They said, ‘Tell anybody, and I’ll hurt you again, and you’ll be in trouble, too.'”

Fort Worth police spokesman Sgt. Steve Enright confirmed an investigation was underway but added if the other two boys are just eight years old, there’s little that police can do.

Legally, no criminal charges can be filed against any child under 10.

“Where is the magic line? That is the question,” the boy’s mother said. “And what is the degree of crime that they can commit before they say, ‘You know what? Maybe you do need some sort of court intervention.'”

The Eagle Mountain-Saginaw Independent School District issued a statement, saying, “As soon as school and district personnel were made aware of the report, we responded immediately and have put every measure into place that we legally can to protect and support those involved in this matter.”

An adult monitor has been assigned to the bus, said district spokeswoman Megan Overman. She would not comment on any action taken against the two boys.

The alleged victim’s mother said she wants the two expelled.

“My son is now going to have to go to a school where his attackers are going to be, and that’s not fair with him being the victim,” she said.

Drug Dog Sweep Nebraska Authorities Seize $2.4M in Suspected Drug Money

Eastern Nebraska authorities say they seized $2.4 million in suspected drug money from a semitrailer after a traffic stop along Interstate 80.

The Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office says deputies pulled over the semitrailer a few miles west of Lincoln around 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The office says the deputies became suspicious of the driver and his passenger and then were denied permission to search the truck. A drug dog taken to the scene alerted deputies to the odor of drugs, so the big rig was searched.

The Sheriff’s Office says heat-sealed and banded cash that smelled of marijuana was inside several pieces of luggage that were found.

The two people were arrested on suspicion of violating drug laws. Online court records don’t show that they’ve been formally charged yet.

Missing Person Cassie Vosburgh of Petersburg, WV

West Virginia State Police say they have no additional information on an 18-year-old Petersburg woman who has not been seen since Thursday, Feb. 11.

Cassie Vosburgh was last seen leaving the area of Potomac State College at 11:30 p.m. and was believed to have been on her way to see her boyfriend in the Laymansville or Maysville area.

She never arrived at her destination, however.

Vosburgh was turned into the State Police as a missing person, and Trooper Hanlon of the West Virginia State Police began the investigation. He admitted, however, that there was “little to go on” in terms of which route Vosburgh may have taken.

http://liarcatchers.com/missing_persons_investigations.html

According to Vosburgh’s mother, Norma Vosburgh, her daughter could have been traveling on Route 93 or Patterson Creek Road.

Vosburgh’s friend Katrinia Vance, however, believes she would have been on Patterson Creek Road.

Thursday, authorities enlisted the help of the Maryland State Police Medevac to conduct an aerial search for Vosburgh’s vehicle, described as a silver Toyota Prius with license plate No. 4HS954.

Vosburgh is described as 5 foot 3 inches, 120 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes. She has several tattoos, including a heart and the word “believe” on her left wrist and the words “stay strong” with a feather located just below her left collarbone.

“Dream as if you’ll live forever, live as if you’ll die today” is tattooed above her waist on the right side.

Anyone with any information on the missing girl is asked to contact the West Virginia State Police at 304-788-1101.

Officials have identified the man found dead by a passersby Thursday evening in Keehner Park as the same person who went missing two weeks ago.

Eric Pefley’s cause of death has not yet been determined by the Butler County Coroner’s Office, according a report released Friday.

The West Chester Police asked for the public’s help in locating the 28-year-old on Feb. 11. They reported that he had not been seen since Feb. 5 and had no access to a vehicle.

On Thursday, a man called 911 around 7 p.m. to report that he and his friends had been on the park’s trails when they found a man’s body. The caller reported “it’s been there for a while.”

Keehner Park was completely reopened Friday morning. The 126-acre park on Barrett Road is surrounded by residential neighborhoods. The park contains shelters, an amphitheater, tennis and basketball courts, as well as hiking trails with access to a creek.

It’s unclear when the coroner’s office will rule on a cause of death, but it reported that an autopsy will be performed.

Pedophile Tracking Lexington Man Sentenced to 10 Years For Distributing Child Porn

A 23-year-old Lexington man, who previously admitted to distributing child pornography images on the internet, has been sentenced to ten years in federal prison.

On Wednesday, U.S. Chief District Judge Karen Caldwell sentenced Joshua Gilley, ordered him to serve a lifetime term of supervised release, and ordered that he register as a sex offender, following his release from prison.  Under federal law, Gilley must serve at least 85 percent of his sentence.

According to his plea agreement, between 2012 and 2013, Gilley distributed numerous child pornography images to others, via email.  Gilley admitted that a search warrant at his home revealed thousands of child pornography images, including more than 900 sexual abuse images of prepubescent children.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

The case started when an FBI investigator noticed child pornography images being distributed online.  The FBI later traced the source of those images to a computer that was operated by Gilley.

Kerry B. Harvey, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky; Howard Marshall, Special Agent in Charge, FBI; Mark Barnard, Chief of Lexington Police; and Rodney Brewer, Commissioner of the Kentucky State Police, jointly announced the sentence.

The investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Violent Crimes Against Children Section, the Lexington Police, and the Kentucky State Police’s Electronic Crime Branch.  Assistant U.S. Attorney David A. Marye prosecuted this case on behalf of the federal government.

Pedophile Tracking Elizabethtown Man Arrested After Prowling A Neighborhood Looking For Children

An Elizabethtown man who admitted to prowling around neighborhoods looking for a child to sexually abuse was stopped before he could attack anyone.

WAVE-TV reports that Elizabethtown police say 37-year-old Edward Shane Sparks was walking around a neighborhood near Greenway Drive and Valley Creek Road looking for yards with toys in them and then knocking on those doors. Police say that Sparks admitted he was looking for a 10-12-year-old child to sexually abuse.

http://liarcatchers.com/pedophile_tracking.html

Angela Fulkerson, a Hardin County bus driver, is credited with leading police to Sparks.

“I thought, ‘Man, he’s creepy looking,'” she told WAVE-TV.

Police say that Sparks walked to a nearby park and ride and tried to get into the bus monitor’s car. Fulkerson then watched to make sure the bus monitor was safely able to leave.

She says that Sparks then approached the school bus and knocked on the door. The bus was empty, but Fulkerson said there was no way she was letting the man in. WAVE reports that she radioed back to district for someone to call police.

“I’ve had cold chills almost all day thinking about the possibilities of what could have and what did not,” Fulkerson told WAVE.

Police found Sparks nearby and he admitted all of his intentions.

Sparks was taken to Communicare to be mentally cleared. They determined his demeanor was more closely associated with drugs and he was taken to Hardin Memorial Hospital, there he exposed himself to the officers and hospital staff.

He is charged with indecent exposure and attempted rape because police say he fell under the criteria of having ability, desire and opportunity to commit a crime.

Fulkerson is relieved the kids are safe.

“No child deserves what that guy had intentions of doing. No child,” Fulkerson said.

Police told WAVE that they’ve run into Sparks before for indecent exposure.

Wrongful Death Man Killed After Shooting At Camelot East

A man has died after a shooting at a Lexington gentleman’s club, making it the fifth homicide of 2016.

It happened around 2:45 a.m. Friday morning, after a report of shots fired outside Camelot East. The coroner says that 23-year-old Laroz Lee Mitchell died from multiple gunshot wounds. Mitchell showed up at the hospital moments after the report of shots fired in the area.

The Coroner confirms that Mitchell arrived at St. Joe for treatment and was taken to UK where he was later pronounced dead.

http://liarcatchers.com/wrongful_death.html

Back at the scene, officers tell LEX 18 that there is no obvious damage and that they have found about five shell casings. They say when this unfolded, the club was already closed.

There have been multiple incidents at Camelot East and now neighboring businesses are growing frustrated at the amount of crime.

“It really comes at no surprise at this point, since it seems to happen so often,” Nathan Harrison, owner of nearby Life Brew Pub told LEX 18. “It does concern me with us opening up. Soon we will serve breakfast, lunch and dinner so we’ll be here early and we’ll be here late.”

There are no witnesses to the shooting. An autopsy is scheduled for later today.
